NightStalker:

Another for McDonalds

Going through a McDonald's drive-thru and not getting serviettes. It is as if they expect people eating and then not cleaning their hands. I now won't pull out of the drive-thru until I have opened the bag and checked. Four out of five times I have to ask for them.

Some of them give them to you with the straw at the first (pointless) window, so if you do not get a drink that needs a straw like getting a hot chocolate with your breakfast hungerbuster combo then they will forget the serviettes there quite often.

Shops that don't accept Visa.. I mean I know it cost's more, But this was a busy food court Chinese place. Lucky I had cash or I would have just walked away.

They don't realise it's going to make them lose business

I usually buy to eat at home. I wash my hands before and after eating. But I like having serviettes to clean the odd drip here and there.

Fair enough too, maccas do get slack sometimes with supply the correct condiments etc.

I hate it when they serve old fries too -- i often ask for fresh but even then they sometimes just ignore you.

Some of us don't eat there!

Haven't had a McD since 1995! (Service and food was sh*t then - so I voted with my wallet.)

Had BK the other day - first for about 7 years. Still as bad.

"News" Organisations that obviously don't proof read!

From NewsHub: http://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2017/05/elderly-man-with-bone-deep-facial-wound-refused-ambulance.html

Red Cross is defending its actions after an elderly man with a gruesome facial wound was refused help from ambulance services.

In same article:

Mr Lolesio was operated on the following day, which went well but his family say this doesn't make up for his ordeal, and have laid a formal complaint against St Johns and Middlemore Hospital.

In a statement, Red Cross says "the patient was not deemed to have a life-threatening condition and the nurse's advice was given according to best practise.

Since when did the Red Cross operate 111 Ambulance services?

Is it about the Red Cross or St Johns?

It's actually St John Ambulance, there is no 's'.

I was referring to what Newshub had written. Note their "St Johns" in bold above.

Newshub later removed the Red Cross references from the article.

Yes it's a common error. I worked for them for 15 years, so it's also a small annoyance.

The media hype being bestowed upon a convicted drug-trafficker.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.
