Jut caught the first two episodes of "Kid Sister" on TVNZ On Demand

Really great to see quite a different perspective on this terrific local comedy.

Obi Wan Kenobi Series 1 on Disney Plus - OK so far, I am not as into the Lore as some star wars superfans but understand the basics, it was a very slow start to the series, but I think there is some promise there. 7/10 to start with

Have started watching Young Sheldon again, this time with the kids (miss 10 and master nearly 13 who are both very innocent and easily frightened by dramatics etc). Both were laughing out loud and seemed to really enjoy it. A couple of things had to be explained to both kids around some of the more complex social constructs. What an absolutely fantastic series it is. I've seen episode 1 probably 3-4 times now, and the end of that episode always takes my breath away. You'd really have wanted to seen a reasonable amount of the big band theory for the full impact to be known.

Star Trek Brave new worlds ep 2 - I can see myself enjoying this series a lot. Haven't enjoyed a Sci-Fi series this much since the Orville.

I watched episode one of Stranger Things 4 on Netflix.

Wow! That got dark pretty fast!

I know that the seasons have gotten progressively darker and more "horror genre", but this really felt like a Stephen King story (I know it's not). It's menacing, whilst also at the same time somewhat innocent and typically small-town, as you'd expect from a Stephen King story.

The kids are growing up and the stories have likewise continued to grow up with them.

I am very much looking forward to continuing this series. The only thing I am unsure of is the feature-length episodes. It's hard to watch in bite sized chunks.

Couldn't disagree more. 2 episodes in and it's just awful.

Handle9: We Own This City - 8/10

If you ride for The Wire get amongst it. I’m 3 episodes deep and getting my head around it, much like The Wire. It’s not as sweary as The Wire but lots of familiar faces and it’s back in Baltimore with bad cops. Really really good. David Simon does this sort of show very well. It’s a shame it’s only a mini-series.

The last 3 episodes wrapped the story up very well. It’s astonishingly depressing but very very well done. One of the best shows I’ve watched in a while.

Resnick:

Just finished the third (and most likely final) season of Mr Inbetween.

Geez, what a ride. One of the best TV shows I can recall watching in recent years. Great story, script writing and acting. I'm unsure how this has flown under the radar for most folks, although it is a tad brutal at times.

Glad you recommended this, decided to watch it because of you and we're really enjoying it.

Obi-wan. Disney. Two episodes in. Loving the original star wars pace and feel so far. RHCP Flea as a minor villain was excellent.

Well Ep 3 of Kenobi dropped last night, and really kicked it up a gear,

I think the next 3 eps will see Ben finally stop wallowing in Self pity and finally fight for something...

But they have some pretty serious ret-conning to do in 3 episodes to make "When I left you I was but the learner, now I am the master" fit seamlessly after what we just saw last night....

I watched the final of Dancing with the Stars on Sunday night, and naturally I cried when Jazz was announced as the winner.

Some of the dancers really need to point their toes and work on their frame, but it's okay because they are here for a reason.

Probably mentioned 10 pages back or something (hopefully not by me), but rather like the US version of Ghosts on TVNZ OD.
