mdf:@Geektastic:Today's annoyance is the fact that I have to periodically pull the plug on my TV because Netflix hangs and won't load from the home screen, just saying "We are having trouble accessing those programs for you". Pull the plug, reboot the TV and it works first time....
Is it a Sony Android? We have the same problem. I find if you hit "back" on the loading screen you get an option to force Netflix to quit. Reloading it without a full restart seems to work 95% of the time.

afe66:KillerHulk:
people (friends on facebook) post each and every activity on FB and tag everyone...
reached bla bla place, eating breakfast / lunch / dinner (with a pic of what they eating)
annoys me like hell....
i just add them to block list...
This led me to closing my facebook account. A number of my professional female friends gave up the high powered jobs to have children and were trapped at home with newborns and my feed drowned in updates of pictures of babies and the minutia of child raising. I get how important your child is (I've got one) but pages and pages of baby activities got very very boring...
Baby bores are almost as bad as travel bores.
chevrolux: We are hunting for a house at the moment... Looking for new/couple years old.
Every single god dam bathtoom has the EXACT SAME shower. Crappy little plastic tray with stupid plastic walls. Grrrrrrrrrrr!
Lack of choice in the market and/or specifying to the cheapest common denominator.
When we re-did our kitchen several years ago, I wanted a tap that had some sort of red accent to fit in with various red things in the kitchen. Also, I wanted a ceramic disc one so it would not drip etc.
The plumber was astounded when I opted for the Italian import one he found for $750 rather than the cheap $200 Mitre 10 version that did not fit my requirement. I imagine the same sort of thing happens with showers: cheap plastic one from Mitre 10 v expensive ceramic German one at 5 times the cost.
Style, individuality etc cost a lot here.

I saw one the other day that happily gave me the text article that I'd selected... for about three seconds, when it then threw me out of the article and told me that I need to update my Flash Player (despite it not being installed in the first place).

Today's grizzle: Courier tracking.
"Your parcel is currently in transit between our 'Auckland' and 'Wellington' depots."
Does this mean that it's on its way to Wellington (it shouldn't be!) or is it poor wording for "it's going to somewhere between Auckland and Wellington"? In any case, today was the last day of the 3-day estimate window, and no sign of it...
It's now listed as "Misdirected"...
The super-lightweight polystyrene packaging noodles US some US shippers use, combined with lots of static electricity from wool carpets.
Holy crap - I thought "unboxing" was supposed to be enjoyable - but I just spent over half an hour chasing thousands of wild agitated noodles around the house.
I've rounded them up - they're back in the box, but now what? Can't dispose of a large box full of noodles in the recycling bin, the box is too big to fit in the garbage bin, I wasn't planning a trip to the dump - and I do not want these things stored in the house - in case they escape.
Just wait until they start using nanotubes.
Plesse igmore amd axxept applogies in adbance fir anu typos

I like the cereal based ones that you just wash down the sink. They are a brilliant idea. Smell like puffed wheat too. Probably edible, but I wasn't that hungry...

You could be right...

which means we have no idea where it is and hopefully it turns up. Been there.
Common sense is not as common as you think.

Most likely malware trying to install a fake Flash to infect your machine.

Behodar: I like using CYT; do you know whether that's just Christchurch or nationwide? Google didn't find anything relevant to NZ, only some articles stating that it's going away in the US.
Well, apparently it was true; I went in there today and CYT was gone :(
