crackrdbycracku: House of Cards.
Inspired by the British series from the 80's but with Kevin Spacey.
Until after events in the real world it becomes "House of Cards" without Kevin Spacey...
Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story | Netflix | 8/10
Not knowing anything about the history, and wondering how much of it was dramatised, I was surprised how interested I was in finishing this after the first two episodes. Nowhere near as graphic as I'd been led to believe, but a harrowing story nonetheless.
[e] I meant to say, one episode stood out in particular in how it was delivered from a particular character's point of view. I don't want to spoil anything but I thought it was done very well.
Got all up to date on The Rings of Power and Welcome to Wrexham over the weekend.
Struggling with A Discovery of Witches and season 2 of Future Man.
Outlaws continues to be good.

kingdragonfly: The last few "Rick and Morty" episodes haven't been great.
But I really enjoyed "Rick and Morty Season 6 Episode 5 – Final DeSmithation"
It does involve dinosaurs, but in a non-traditional role.
Also it more or less stands-alone; if you haven't watched the series in years, it'll still be enjoyable.
I haven't seen Rick and Morty for a loooong time. I do have a pair of socks with Pickle Rick on them, though.

Welp, Bake-off lost all respect. Can't come last in the tech and be awarded best baker. The person that clearly came first in the first bake, won the technical and 2nd in the show stopper should be walking away with the plate. They were lining her up to win all season, she tanked in the final and they stil have the nerve to give it to her.
"So Help Me Todd" quirky light weight legal comedy. Only 2 episode so far but rather enjoying + Marcia Gay Harden at 63 still has it 👍
Ms Marvel (Disney+) - 8/10
I really enjoyed this short series from Marvel. The characters were fun and engaging, and the plot tight and self-contained. It had more of a Spiderman vibe to it, with less of the "fate of the world" hanging over it, which was a nice refreshing change from the larger movies and TV shows.
For anyone who thinks Marvel stuff is just bubble-gum entertainment, I went from watching this show to getting a 400-page book out of the library on the partition of India, because I realised it's something that I knew very little about, and the show inspired me to learn about this pivotal moment in history.
Up to episode 3 of The Terminal List on Amazon Prime Video.
Long story short: Special operators (SEALs) go into foreign territory. Operation goes awry. A few die.
Commander of team lives but is haunted by it and decides something wasn't adding up about the mission.
He starts investigating (on home soil) and so it all starts...some intrigue, some action, some plot twists.
So far it's...OK. Not terrible. Not amazing. I'll carry on watching.
Speaking of carrying on, I am over halfway through Welcome to Wrexham. As a football fan, former player, dad of a pretty committed player and general armchair enthusiast, I have to say, it's got me hooked.
I am (like so many thousands around the world) now a semi-Wrexham-fan. I follow their scores on BBC Football and hope for their success. The town clearly needs it.

Just finished watching all Season 1 of Billy The Kid, brilliant series, can't wait until S2 comes out - starts in 1871, 12-year-old Billy McCarty and his immigrant Irish family have to leave New York and travel west to seek new opportunities... but the journey proves fatal for some.
Just Binged my way through S 1+2 of Industry, Its an HBO series on Neon
Its about a bunch of hard living/over sexed young Bankers and Traders based in London,
Described as a combination of Succession and Euphoria, I have really liked the development of the Characters over the 2 seasons, but most stay true to their original tropes...
It has some great trading banter ( if you are into that sort of thing)
A cast of lots of young new-ish actors, with My favourite character having to be Rishi, (Sagar Radia) a trader who has been written some of the most delicious one liners I have heard on TV...
Just heading towards the end of season 1 (only season?) of Bad Sisters (Apple)
An enjoyable, quirky, Irish black-comedy with some interesting twists and turns. 8/10
After their brother-in-law, John Paul, dies under unexpected circumstances, the Garvey sisters find themselves at the center of a life insurance investigation. The series flips between timelines - one before John Paul's death, in which we see the sisters plot to murder John Paul, and one after John Paul's death, in which a determined insurance agent tries to prove the sisters' malicious involvement to save his struggling business.
Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation
Tomorrow. [Netflix] A Korean show about Grim Reapers who try and stop people commiting suicide. Maybe not every ones cup of tea but it is done well and i cried a few times 8/10.
The title is from what a Grim Reaper says about suicide. "People commit suicide when it is harder to live today then face Tomorrow". Based on a Webcomic.
Common sense is not as common as you think.
Finished up Mystery Road and Mystery Road: Origins [set as prequal]
Australian cop drama based on an Aboriginal detective Jay Swann who is basically a roaming detective sent off to solve crimes in small, mostly aboriginal communities all throughout the outbacks of Western Australia.
Heaps of twists and turns and keeps you on the edge of your seat most eps.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and it being in Aussie show the humour and mannerisms just feel really relatable.
Highly recommend.
Watched the first season of Ghosts (TV Series 2021– ) on TVNZ+... A bit funny in most parts - 6.5/10
