Humorous errors in books. This seems to happen often in Kindle books. For example, this from my current read:

“….would become nothing but another slave toiling under the God of Death’s yolk.”

I nearly spat my tea out!

Somehow some of the threatening aspect is lost:

Local asparagus w/venison - all you can eat @ home :-)

… and …

Smart extension of the electrical sub-distribution on a Sunday - also a kind of Lego for (qualified) adults. Mrs Tinkerisk is out with her girls and my dog holds the measuring tips for me. :-)

I have just replaced the oven, the induction hob, the fridge-freezer, the washer-dryer and the instantaneous water heater with more electricity-efficient new appliances or technology and have now converted all the lighting to LED. Instead of an electricity-guzzling house air conditioner, I use noiseless ceiling fans (in summer and winter operation). The heating system is based on district heating generated by the municipal waste incineration plant. The Shelly 3EM already shows the positive impact and is the reason to smile. :-)

Well, your rubbish has to go somewhere, or do you export or bury it? ;-)

I just found an excellent hack for bypassing unwanted irritating advertising bloat forced on Shield users after updating. Nvidia really needs to understand who their customers are.

Making me smile today is my birthday present to myself. A new camera.

Having tried and failed at using my DSLR with interchangeable lenses and all the settings one can shake a stick at, I decided I wanted something that was more in keeping with the way I take photos.

I wanted the DSLR look and feel, with an eyepiece for framing my photos, but wanted long lens capability without the fiddly and bulky lens changes.

I got myself a Panasonic Lumix FZ80 Bridge Camera.

I have to say - the 20-1200 (35mm equivalent) lens is amazing! and it has all the settings of my DSLR, with none of the pitfalls (at least for me).

Now I just need to go on holiday somewhere.

Likely never. I am what some may call a terrible photographer. Others may describe me as a rubbish one.

Nvidia understand all to well who their customers are. A little hint, its not you and I. We are in fact part of the product.

In Greece it's the opposite, you drive to one of the more fashionable parts of town where the rubbish will actually get collected, check there's no-one looking...
