Senecio:

We've just finished watching the first season [of the White Lotus] and have started on the 2nd now. We really enjoyed the first and everyone says the 2nd is better so we have high expectations.

I guess it depends on how you define 'everyone', as I thought season one was superior to season two. I enjoyed the second season, for sure, but for me it just didn't reach the same heights as the first. It's hard to top Armand, his unravelling, and the suitcase!

Team Armond here too.

Quite disappointed with Season 2.

Slow Horses S2 - really good, and again pretty much like the book. Love Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb and his one liners.

The White Lotus - I am trying hard to get through S1. Not a show I am enjoying.

INSIDE MAN: SEASON 1 - 4 EPISODES.

Watched INSIDE MAN over two nights. I thought it was an average thriller and a little disjointed at times, and would have benefitted from more screen time for Stanley Tucci who plays the title character. A poor man's Hannibal Lecter.

David Tennant's character makes a very bad choice, which starts the ball rolling, and is the basis of the story. There are several dumb decisions made by some of the other characters. Definitely not in my top 20 TV Series, but worth a look if you have seen all of the good ones. 6/10

HAWKEYE: SEASON 1

I've been a bit disappointed with some of the latest Marvel films, so I've been watching other genres, and quite enjoying them. However, I thought that I would take a look at Season 1 of HAWKEYE on Disney+.

Watched the first two Episodes last night, and I really enjoyed it. The addition of Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop is what makes the series so good. I remember seeing her acting debut in TRUE GRIT (2010) when she was 13 years old. I thought then that we would see more of her in the future.

I am looking forward to continuing the series tonight. 8/10

Loving SH S2.

I was put off TWL near the end of the final episode of S1 where there was a scene showing a guy crapping into a suitcase. I’m certainly no prude but it was very graphic and disgusted me - won’t be watching S2.

Enjoying ‘The Recruit’ on NF. It’s quite light but good fun.

1923 EP1. Harrison Ford and Judy Dench. Good start. Got bored at ep1 halfway. Seems like too many dwelling closeups and not enough takes and edits for Ford. I hope it improves. I'm not having much luck sticking to series' lately. I'll try this one again.

I mostly resisted watching White Lotus due to time constraints. However, I'm now three episodes into season one and really enjoying it.
Now that I have seen your post above, I'm thinking I might need to step things up to see what this "crapping into a suitcase" thing is all about. 🤣

I'm watching the latest season of Avenue 5.
It's not as good as the first one.

I’ve had season 2 running in the background, hoping it would return to the heights of season 1. But the writers have found it hard to replace the scatalogical halo that drove a lot of the early storyline.

This is an interesting anime. It's about the Japanese justice system and bizarre ways of dying.

The story's fake, but a lot of the events do happen.

Anime: "human bug Daigaku" or "Human crazy university"

I'm re-watching Dream On, from the 1990s. This was a great comedy series that helped me get through some tough years at high school. Fairly obscure these days though - anyone else remember it?
