tons: Interesting - http://www.liliputing.com/2010/01/hp-mini-110-becomes-an-endangered-species-gone-from-hp-web-store.html .
c71931f: I dm'd the Harvey norman twittr account again and they said "Hi I have emailed the person concerned again today. I expect I will get an answer anytime in the next 24 hours. Sorry for the delay. less than 20 seconds ago "

I think Asus would definitely ship it in retail packaging. ?when i got mine i paid $500NZD in September for my 1005HA, so $288 would be about right for trade price :) easily
You definately have an unrealistic concept of margins in the PC industry!
And some!
robbyp: Does anyone know if the one they were selling at HN, the HP mini 110-1111TU, was the same as the HP Mini 110-1006TU Netbook, which Noel Leemings are selling at http://www.noelleeming.co.nz/computers/notebook-computers/pc-notebook-computers/hp-hpmini110-1006-mini-110-1006tu-notebook/prod12236.html
They appear to have the same specs and comes with xp, however the 1006TU appears to have a slower harddrive.

Yes that shows that that tag was made for HN, as it has HN Exclusiv after the model. Therefore was that a specially built computer made solely for HN, or was it just rebadged off an existing model such as a 1006TU?

stuzzo: We really have to write the book when this is all over!
tons:stuzzo: We really have to write the book when this is all over!
Yeah, the book will be called "How to Annoy Your Customers".
We'll have to give HN a copy to add to their new staff induction materials and company policy documents.
But having said that, it looks like they already have a similar book in use already.
Man, I just can't believe they haven't provided the model info, especially given most people have paid for the netbook already!
c71931f:robbyp: Psilan, I don't think you read my post properly. All I was asking was what the 1111 model was similar to,To get it's full specs, and I can't find that model anywhere on the Internet. Someone had actually already stated previously that it was a rebadged 1006 but that doesn't appear to be the case.
Refer to the 1st post for a link..
robbyp:Yes I had seen that but it doesn't appear to have the specs. If this model number was created exclusively for HN, then HP would add it as a model in their support section. I just haven't seen that particular model 1111TU advertised or mentioned anywhere else anywhere on the internet, which is strange, thats why I think it may have been a model created for HN, just as these Asus netbooks which are being custom built, will also probably have their own unique model number.
