re The Americans. Just about to start Season 4. Must be good, I seems to have the attention span of a gnat lately...

I started watching season 2 of Schmigadoon! on Apple TV+.
Very hard to watch and totally not going to make it all the way through episode 2.
I watched season 1 and it was...quirky.
Long story short, a couple find themselves transported to a Victorian Era American town where everyone spontaneously erupts into song and dance and it's like an old musical number come to life.
Season two has them in "Cabaret"...ish.
It's nowhere near as good and has become annoying after just one episode.
If you're really into musicals and like offbeat humour mixed with that - this might be for you. If not - wide berth.
Handsome Dan Has Spoken.
Handsome Dan needs to stop adding three dots to every sentence...
Handsome Dan does not currently have a side hustle as the mascot for Yale

Probably very late to the party, but have been watching 1883 on Prime, quite possibly one of the most enjoyable TV series we've watched in a long time. Will carry on to 1923 and then Yellowstone. The cast, storylines, acting and pacing of 1883 is just spot on (and Sam Elliott is made for westerns).

OMG I just finished watch episode one of Queen of Oz.
I haven't laughed so hard in ages. It's brilliant!
Interesting how senses of humour vary so greatly. Just watched this, based on your rec, and couldn’t raise a chuckle.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
HiJack on Apple held me in my seat. Just a pity its weekly.

It shows just how important good writing is.

On TVNZ. Set in Queenstown, police detective can see dead people. He knows it, so why surprised every time?

I've watched all 3 seasons and I'm very pleased to see it has been picked up internationally. Some great use of the area around Queenstown and interesting use of Maori imagery. Season 3 was a little hard going, but Season 1 was excellent.

It's not the usual type of thing I'd enjoy, but the wei wei thing was quite funny, and then in ep 4 when her bodyguard reveals he was bullied, she looks at him in disbelief and exclaims, by whom? John Wick!?
I dunno, I am enjoying it a lot.
Having said that, I enjoy Australian TV quite a lot.
Maybe ‘just me’ but it seems there’s very little really good comedy on telly these days. Need to go back to the old stuff to re-have a good laugh. I’m just getting old.
Having said that, I really love Have I Got News for You - a panel-based current affairs comedy series on BBC. Very very funny - and clever - IMO.

have you seen Deadloch (Prime Video). An Australian crime series that is so Australian it is almost a send up. Very funny and a good story but be warned, if you are offended by swearing especially the C word, then avoid . 8/10
Common sense is not as common as you think.
Writers strike starting to bite!!!
