"The Diplomat" on Netflix - American TV show about a new US Ambassador [played by Keri Russell] in London - there is also a UK show "The Diplomat" which I've not seen.

Very good, IMO; annoying now having to wait another year or so for season 2.

I'm really enjoying Strange New Worlds.  God forbid a franchise evolves.

To each their own. Out of interest, were you a fan of TOS or TNG?

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2. Boy oh boy, this is getting worse and worse with every episode.

:( I don't want to hear that.

When is the other star trek back? (the Orville)

Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 4 will be coming September 7th; I quite like Lower Decks, it's a pretty good, fun, ST show.

The concept of a Lower Decks/SNWs crossover is .... interesting; apparently that's the next New Worlds episode - for those that don't know, the main 2 animated Lower Decks characters (who are set in the TNG timeframe) travel back in time to live-action New Worlds - with the voice actors portraying the characters.  Given one of the two voice actors is Jack Quaid, the physical acting should be fairly solid.

Just watched the latest episode of Foundation on Apple TV

I'm finding it really hard to engage with this second season. It's jumped timelines too far, there are too many subplots and it's become quite confusing and quited confused.

Looking forward to the second season of The Wheel of Time though, on Prime.

Probably not surprising since the source material is just a bunch of only semi-related short stories set over an enormous time period. I'm waiting until all episodes are released before jumping into season 2.

Just watched E2, out of four, of The Sixth Commandment - on BBC. First aired last week. Starring Timothy Spall, Anne Reid and other well-known Brit actors. Crime drama based on a true story. Really excellent IMO.

have you seen Deadloch (Prime Video). An Australian crime series that is so Australian it is almost a send up. Very funny and a good story but be warned, if you are offended by swearing  especially the C word, then avoid . 8/10

I consider myself a reasonable heavy swearer, certainly no prude, and grew up both on a farm, and in a NZ Housing area, and I am pretty sure in my life, I have never heard or used the C word in total as many times as I think I heard in 1 season of deadloch. Madeleine Sami goes above and beyond in delivering the filthiest language I've heard in many years.

Having said that, it's a cracker of a series, I hope there is another series, and I hope it's just as good. I really enjoyed it.

I've never watched The Lower Decks, and based on the that crossover SNW episode I don't intend to! It just struck me as a desperate attempt to garner viewers with a gimmick. In 2 weeks time they're doing it again with a musical episode. Call me an out-of-touch fuddy-duddy if you like, but this ain't real Star Trek.

I've been watching Million Dollar Island (yes...reality TV) on TV3 lately.

The premise has always been that 100 people were dropped on an island (supposedly deserted, but clearly not, as there's hundreds of production staff involved and they have regular medical ferries off the island) each with a woven bracelet on their wrist with a number ranging from 1 to 100.
Each bracelet also has a metal tag with $10,000 on it.
At the beginning of the show, they started with "all 100 players are playing for the chance to win up to one million dollars".

They do a few things, they eat very little and they argue a lot.
Challenges are completed (but only a few people at a time) and each time they do a challenge, the challenge participants throw their bracelets in a bowl and the winner takes all of the bracelets, adding to their "wealth". The "richest person on the island" is then safe from elimination.

It's got to the pointy end and what I have noticed is that the comment about winning has now changed to "could win a share of $1m". That's different to a chance of winning up to $1m, methinks.

I have no doubt that the eventual winner will get nowhere near a million bucks and will have spent a month on a tropical island away from their friends families and jobs, to end up with a few grand.

I'm still watching it. I'm not sure why I'm so invested. I might have a mental illness.

Still struggling with Justified City Primeevil. Some of it's OK, but Raylen with his kid is painful.

Just started Special OP - Lioness. Incredible. Visceral. Action packed and interesting.

My adventures with Superman is actually pretty good.

Still getting the LOLs with Queen of Oz.

That's disappointing. I'm waiting until all episodes are available because I was assuming I'd like it so much I'd want to binge. Perhaps not?
