Cargo - Netflix Original, well acted and character driven take on the zombie apocalypse set in Australia. 7.5/10
I saw The Breaker Uppers over the weekend. It was rated "M" so I took my kids (early teens). A bit of a mistake. I think R13 might have been a more appropriate classification for the subject matter. Perhaps the censor was more lenient because it's an NZ Movie.

Predestination 8/10
An interesting time travelling drama/thriller with Ethan Hawke. Needs to be watched more than once to really figure out whats going on.
Trainspotting 9/10
Still outstanding and still makes a huge impact.
Game Night. Surprisingly good with lots of good laugh scenes. 7.5/10

Darkest Hour - 9/10 no wonder Gary Oldman won all those Best Actor awards, very much well deserved.
The Post - 8/10 great movie. Meryl & Tom are such great/fine actors and at the top of their craft that we expect nothing but good things from them so these days they have to do something really special, I mean 21 nominations & 3 wins for Meryl and Tom 3 nominations & 2 wins
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Deadpool 2 9/10 was as good as the second in most places, better in some, worse in others. Great Soundtrack.
I felt Julian Dennison's accent was awful. I hope I don't sound like that!
Solo - A Star Wars Story
Agreed about Harrelson being distracting etc. I couldn't get into it. I enjoyed some parts of it, but for me, it's barely a 6/10. I actually fell asleep for about 20 minutes and didn't feel I'd lost anything.
"I Will Follow You Down" - 2013 - (also known as "Continuum", not to be confused with the TV series of the same name). (Netflix)
Interesting story about time travel.....set in Toronto and Princeton....but filmed in Toronto as far as I could tell.
The only movie I've seen with child star Haley Joel Osment all grown up as an adult character. Gillian Anderson (X Files) plays his mother.
Can't really say much about the plot as anything after the first couple of minutes is a major spoiler....and the end of the movie tops the list.
Basically, the story follows what happens after the husband / father goes way to a conference at Princeton....and never returns and is never found.
There's a reason for that........
Rating? I'd give it a 7 out of 10 just for being a bit different...and the acting wasn't bad either.

I see a lot of people are mentioning they are over the superhero genre, not me, I love it especially the MCU so here's a quick review of the last four I've seen recently.
Thor: Ragnarok - Definitely the best Thor film, it rewarded us with more comedy while still pulling on our heart strings from time to time. Hulk didn't seem quite as angry as usual and I'm not sure how I felt about that. Probably my only slight gripe though. 8/10
Black Panther - While I enjoyed this movie very much I got rather upset about everybody revelling over the fact that they finally had a black superhero. Did everybody forget about Blade, you know the very first movie produced by Marvel Studios. That aside great characters, a good plot and a relatable bad guy (who at first I have to admit I couldn't get past that he looked like a Wayan brother) made for a very enjoyable film. 7.5/10
Avengers: Infinity War - Wow that ending, I have to say I would rate Thanos so far one of the greatest villains of all time. I would love to see more of him, perhaps an origin story of how he came to power (something I always wished they had done with Magneto). A lot of people that have seen it have told me that there was too much going on however that was not the case for me, I had seen all the previous MCU films, all the post credits scenes, I knew all the characters and it was just beautifully put together. Not too long, not too short, it must've been a massive task to tell a story like this with so many big characters and IMO they pulled it off nicely. 9/10
Deadpool 2 - Loved it, Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool and Deadpool is Ryan Reynolds, they are a match made in heaven. While it may have fell slightly short of the first film I suspect that that is because I'd already had a taste of the humour as opposed to the film not actually being as good. Either way I find myself still having a little smirk when I think of some of the scenes. 9.5/10
Solo - A Star Wars Story. 8/10.
So much better than The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. It ties up with the saga in a much more fluent way.

I really enjoyed No Ordinary Shelia. It is a NZ made film about an extraordinary women born on a small island off the coast of Stewart island.

Endured The Post over the weekend.
Tom Hanks at his usual best but Meryl Streep's performance was positively painful to watch, completely over the top, awkward, and not natural at all. Not sure what happened there.
2/10 for the historical significance factor but otherwise terribly boring.
Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation
