I’ve just started watching Santa Clarita Diet.
It’s a comedy about a suburban woman who gets sick one day and becomes a flesh eating zombie. Hilarity ensues as she starts murdering people to feed her appetite.

Funny in the classic Drew Barrymore way, but also at times quite gory.
I’m enjoying it so far - 3 eps in.

Handsomedan: I’ve just started watching Santa Clarita Diet.

Hehe, I loved it too when it was released. Netflix had a host of good comedies going like "Good Girls" "The Ranch" etc around this period.

Currently watching Ferry on NF, tis good. I think its French even though Belgian based. The dub is pretty good. Easy watching is how id think of it.

I couldnt help myself, I started a rewatch binge on Twisted Metal, really well done imo, good comedy and action. Retrp vibes and a little like Z Nation but leaves you thinking not the typical straight out US type comedy. Love it.

Reacher is back on Prime Video December 15th - loved the first season gave it an 8/10 - hope season 2 lives up.

This also looks like a fun family holiday season movie - The Family Plan - from Apple TV starring Mark Wahlberg. (the term family is used loosely here as it is violent)

Spent the last month going through Stranger Things 1-4 because for some reason we never did. Very glad we did as it's been a fun watch the whole way, but now we've got wait with the rest of the masses for the conclusion.

We've now switched to re-watching Dark s1 with our housemate doing his first viewing. Even two episodes in and 4 years between watching it makes much more sense knowing the twist. Beyond that it's unexplored territory for us all so I'm keen to see where it goes again.

Just did a rewatch of Dark season 1. Only watched it when it didn't have the other 2 seasons so now we're into uncharted territory.

I'm always amazed at this show and also how nobody seems to have seen it when I mention it.

I've seen season 1 and a couple of episodes in season 2.

Interesting but very confusing.

I have been re-watching some old episodes of Scrapheap Challenge - I'm stuck home in bed unwell for the last couple of days, so I at least have vacant time to watch TV for the first time in ages.

I forgot how good it was. Very entertaining TV. That's a series I wouldn't mind seeing resurrected again.

Finally watching Babylon Berlin, which I guess everyone else watched starting in 2017. Very good. Up in the 9's I think. Also love the closing theme tune.

I had that marked on my Outlook calendar.  Also season 3 of Slow Horses starts on the 29th of this month (November).  Mick Herron is one of my favourite authors, and the TV show is living up to the books really well.  Excellent casting.  The TV characters will be pictured firmly in my head whenever I re-read the books.  Actually that should be listen to the books.  I can't sit still and read now, and my eyes are the oldest part of an aging body.   Slow Horses on Apple btw.

Started watching the newest season of For All Mankind on Apple TV+

It's jumped forward in time a fair bit, but harks back to the previous season quite a lot in referencing events and how they are affecting the current timeline.

The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that Ed Baldwin has terrible facial prosthetics to make him look older. Not ideal.

Other than that, it just follows on from the previous seasons and is just as good with equally solid production values.

The hair on his head is also getting thicker the older he gets.

This show has been consistently diminishing returns for me. Season1 was excellent, season 2 was very good, season 3 was OK. The closer they get to present day, the more it feels like a generic sci-fi show compared the the clever alternate-history shows it started as.

Agreed.
But I like Scifi, so I can live with it.

SJB:

Bodies - Netflix - 6/10

Time travelling murder mystery. The same body turns up in 4 different eras and detectives in each era must solve the mystery to stop a nuclear terrorist attack in London.

Storyline is a bit predictable after a while and the dialogue and acting a bit wooden but it's good enough to fill a wet afternoon.

Personally 8/10

Stephen Graham was outstanding and I loved the twists. Really hope for a sequel.
