Sup26: Yes I'm in Auckz.
I got my first email from dia on 20/10/21 asking for few details and to do my identity check. Received confirmation details email on 26/10/21 and approval on 9/11/21.
so yeah pretty much 2 weeks process after confirmation details I guess.

sweet as mate! Cheers!

Update for you bro. Received an email from ceremonies team this morning, they are printing out my certificate on 29/11, quicker response then I expected. Good luck to you and everyone waiting, hopefully yous get response asap. cheers.

I saw peoples experiences on this forum so I assumed mine would be pretty similar which appears to be 10-28 days from initial contact to approval. From the time the case officer was assigned (assuming 24 Aug as that as the first email I got from them) until approval I followed up twice - once via email in September and I called once in October. Both times I was told my application was still being processed. I was never asked for any further information or asked to explain anything, I met all the requirements, I've never changed my name and I've lived only in NZ for the past 9 years so didn't require clearance from any foreign agencies but it just took a lot longer - just my luck I guess lol :)

I'll admit it was frustrating seeing Nov and Dec 2020 applications getting approval while I was told mine was still being processed. I wasn't in a hurry to get it because (thanks to Covid) I have no vacations planned but its nice to just be done with it and I certainly don't think their timeframes or their extending of already unreasonably long timeframes is appropriate

I think maybe because you got confirm details during lockdown level 4 start, which led your application get delayed and they forget to go back work on it for while (it just speculation)

Congrats.

I also live in Auckland and its been one and a half month since I received my approval email but haven't got any contact from ceremonies team. I wonder if people get allocated to a ceremony according to the part of Auckland they live in.

Looks like I can. However, think it's better to apply after receiving the certificate.

Hey mate, I remember you briefly mentioning that you applied for your passport after the printout date of your Citizenship cert and before receiving it physically . Any updates on that? Cheers!

I applied my passport on last Sunday which was the print out date for my certificate. Today is the 4th working day since I applied and haven’t heard anything from passport yet. However, it doesn’t seem to take as long as 4 weeks between printout date and receiving it. My certificate just arrived yesterday (that’s only 3 working days from print out date!) Hope you get yours soon!!!

Thanks for the update mate! That's awesome! I hope I get my approval soon. It's been just over a week since the email to confirm details

A friend of mind call them and they said you can apply on print date and ask DIA for certificate number over the phone.

I asked ceremonies team and got their reply.

My certificate will get printed in December since the district of Auckland where I live in had the ceremony to be held in December which is now canceled due to covid.

Do you mind me asking which district are you with? I'm with the Waitakere district.

How did you contact them? Is there an email or phone number specifically for the ceremonies team? Thank you

Whilst I understand that people are keen to get their citizenship approved as soon as possible, and that DIA's processing times are completely unacceptable and unreasonable, it's worth keeping in mind that every 5 minutes they spend having to reply to a 'what's the progress on my application' query, is 5 minutes not spent actually processing applications.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
