Tinkerisk: Never order in Chinese New Year season ;-)

Wish they had warning before you ordered. I ordered on 5 Feb. I needed it by end of this month so paid for DHL which said 9-15 days. I then emailed seller after purchase asking it to be sent ASAP once payment cleared. I received automated reply about Chinese New Year. As of today item still not shipped.

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.

I had the same issue, so I cancelled, the seller has 72 hours to cancel my cancel, before I get a refund. Every morning around 2am the seller cancel my cancel, but can't process my order....

I have lost about $60nz from shipping issue now.  Will order, they put it on the slow boat for shipping, never turns up, try to do a dispute but get some bull s**t message about i can't open one till xx date (normally 2 or 3 months after delivery time frame supplied) and then the window to open the dispute after that date is so small that i miss it and aliexpress completes the order as delivered.

The dispute window is like 1 day before they close the order off.  Last one i missed was the day following the date it said to open a dispute.

Example of message i get

Our records show that your order has departed from its country of origin and is currently in transit. According to our past experience, the majority of the packages will be delivered within the time frame promised by the seller. If your package does not arrive by 2021-04-13 , please open dispute and we will handle this immediately. We appreciate your patience.

There's also sellers who can't make the processing time, so they put someone else tracking number in (in my case delivered before I've even ordered) When I try to dispute I get this message.

We'll see what happens at the 10 day mark

I read the Aliexpress subreddit and there's lots of people complaining about getting fake or reused tracking numbers. It's got to the point that I've given up on Aliexpress for the time being until things get sorted out, there's just too many cowboys on there.

The only UBI packet, I've used in recent times, took 11 days to arrive.

And I am waiting for an ePacket package, that I ordered about 3 weeks ago (apparently it arrived left china about 10 days ago)

I just received a package, went and checked on the others. Looks like they're all started moving again. Basically everything seem to freeze on the 1st of Feb

My package showed as YANWEN Logistics shipping, but also showed on Aliexpress-Cainiao / China Post tracking. Never showed on NZ Post tracking.

  • 14-Jan: Ordered & shipped
  • 19-Jan: Handed over to China Post
  • 23-Jan: Despatched by airline - I somewhat doubt it was on an airline because it took nearly a month for this step, but it did say Air New Zealand
  • 25-Feb: Delivered

Total 42 days for delivery.

Ultimately arrived in a China Post “Small Packet BY AIR” package delivered by NZ Post (untracked) with a “UJ*CN” tracking number. There was a label underneath the China Post label with the “S*” tracking number.

Got some more packages which should hopefully be delivered tomorrow or early next week.

Has anyone had a positive experience with Ali premium shipping?

What about Banggood + air shipping as an alternative?

Item sent 14-Jan with AliExpress Standard Shipping. Arrived 26-Feb.

It was freight forwarded through 4PX & UBI Smart Parcel before ultimately getting delivered by NZ Post, curiously on a NZ Post shipping label (not China Post). The shipper was UCL Co. Ltd.

Try this tracking...

chinapost-track.com

no post shows that it made a label for the parcel before getting there, and URL is the no post place. If you look below, there is the seller’s sticker with the information of the address, tracking, and your shipping option, (in this case Ali standard) Ali standard is sometimes in Chinese. It happens to everyone, it is common sense from the tracking, you only get the china post label if you used china post, if it was Ali standard it is no post.

Has anyone else found that larger parcels like computer covers and sleeves take a shorter time to arrive than smaller parcels like screen protectors?

I think i have.
