PhantomNVD: Oh please (pretty please, double pretty please BEG!) can we add Trump to the Godwin’s rule in the FUG?

So tired of hearing all the Trump bashing... please just leave it in the circle jerk thread?
Thanks!

Fixed that for you.

DarthKermit:

How short a time AA batteries last in our newish wireless mouse. Time to dig out some rechargables.

Our Microsoft mouse is a shocker for that, but our logitech ones are absolutely awesome.

Unfortunately, the MS one works on a black leather couch better.

Why even turn WiFi off?

There's a setting in the Netflix app to prevent mobile data use too...

Intel 7260AC wireless chipset. Never in the history of WiFi have I had so many problems with connectivity.

The obsession with incorporating some sort of option to "share" everything with "friends" in all new bits of software or revised old bits of software.

I've no wish to share what I am listening to on iTunes with anyone not in the room at the time, thanks. Yet I cannot switch that bit off, and every time I open iTunes now, it wants me to 'Get started' sharing with 'friends'.

Can I please have an optional "Leave me and my friends in peace" toggle?

AirNZ air-points 'partner' Meridian Energy, using contact info obtained from AirNZ to call me on my mobile and try to get them to switch my electricity account to them, even offering a 'bill comparison' because they already had my residential address.

I'm sure I agreed somewhere to receiving offers from Airpoints partners (must review privacy settings) but frankly I'm surprised AirNZ allow partners to use client info for that kind of intrusive, tacky HRV-esque marketing.

Mentioned before (probably several times), but - Shrinkflation.

“The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.” -John Kenneth Galbraith

When you drop something in the wind and you then look like an idiot trying to stamp on it as it rolls away down the road as you just miss with your foot about 3 times

I'm connected to work WiFi and can walk a block from work and still be "connected" (but without internet access). So I turn off WiFi in order to do stuff using the internet ..

...people who refer to discussion that conflicts with their own POV, but lack the guts or valid argument to express and support their own view, dismiss those with a mainly shared view as a "circle jerk".

That 5 months after reporting it to the CCC, the sinkhole in our street still has not been touched or even marked!

This is despite several phone and email reminders!

No, the downside of the ACC system is that, because no one gets sued, no one cares.
