Try this tracking...

chinapost-track.com

That site is an improvement over 17track.net

Now I have to figure out if I can do a context search using Chrome.

Tinkerisk: Never order in Chinese New Year season ;-)

Wish they had warning before you ordered. I ordered on 5 Feb. I needed it by end of this month so paid for DHL which said 9-15 days. I then emailed seller after purchase asking it to be sent ASAP once payment cleared. I received automated reply about Chinese New Year. As of today item still not shipped.

I contacted seller the following day (Feb 18) asking for update on when they'll ship. They said they'd do it the following day. I asked them to cancel, they said no they'll get it to me and not to worry. Shipping label generated next day but tracking showed not picked up until 23rd. I emailed seller complaining about this.

Checked with DHL last Friday as I received a shipment delayed text. It arrived in Guam last week Thursday, and was scheduled on a flight to Sydney on Monday. Checked again today, it got off-loaded from flight at Guam, so expected to leave today to go to Sydney.

Contacted seller on Monday and they were adamant shipment was with NZ Customs so been in messaging wars Monday and Tuesday. They've finally conceded overnight that they owe me compensation.

I paid $168 for the expedited shipping, so will be seeking this amount.

Hopefully you are dealing with an honest seller. Sadly, just because a seller indicates they will resolve issues if you log a dispute, it doesn't always happen.

If you need to file a dispute, I suggest including an image of the discussion. At least then there is a chance it may be looked at.

EDIT: Clarification. They won't consider any links provided in support of your claim or refer to discussions that take place on their own platform.

Thanks @SirHumphreyAppleby for the advice.

Seller has replied to all my messages through the entire process so hopefully don't have to much pain resolving this.

Ordered an SFP a month ago. Seller never shipped it and didn't respond to messages asking WxTxF. Today, a few hours before the auto-cancel at 30 days, it's marked as shipped, or at least that a tracking number has been allocated... I have the feeling it's still not shipped, they've just allocated tracking to avoid getting dinged for not shipping within a month.

(Why is the short form of WxTxF regarded as a "bad word"? The whole point of the abbreviation is to ensure there's nothing bad in there).

Guys, Chinese New Year this time was Feb. 12th. Traditionally nothing happens for 15 days. Plus Covid impact ... I stopped my orders mid Jan and will resume mid March to prevent any stress with sometimes weird shipping

habits.

I ordered it on Feb. 2nd. Also, they conveniently "shipped", meaning allocated a tracking number, just hours before I got an auto-refund from Aliexpress. On the preponderance of evidence, I'm treating this one as a scam.

There's also sellers who can't make the processing time, so they put someone else tracking number in (in my case delivered before I've even ordered)

I read the Aliexpress subreddit and there's lots of people complaining about getting fake or reused tracking numbers. It's got to the point that I've given up on Aliexpress for the time being until things get sorted out, there's just too many cowboys on there.

With six days left to spare they threw it on delivery from DHL and I got a text when they picked it up in China. 4 days later it was in my hands.
Amazing how fast they can sort it when they’re about to be force to give me a refund

I ordered a small purchase ($18 or so) in early Jan. Just got a notification it was accepted by the last mile carrier. Assumed that meant it was in country, ready to be delivered. After checking NZpost website, perhaps not......

One of my packages hasn't had an update in 60 days or so, I questioned the seller. They said....

So I did, but I didn't select the "Return Goods", I selected that I have not received.

After that they refused to give me the refund. Aliexpress step in and said they have to give me the refund..

I have an item ordered from January. It has recently been updated as with last mile carrier. Nz post tracking would accept that long string of number as tracking number but it says it is still in China, so I don’t know what to believe.

I really would like to order something for a project but I am not sure if I want to risk it. Besides paying an arm and a leg for DHL, which one of the shipping option seems to work at the moment? I notice that a few sellers now default to China post air parcel now rather than AliExpress standard shipping. Is it the better or is it a worse option?

In reality its a crapshoot.

Even if a seller says one thing, they often switch carriers (presumably they use cheaper option).

The best thing is to look for a seller with reliable reviews.

Lately I had better then average response times with ePacket and UBI.

But they were with well established vendors, and not free postage.
