PolicyGuy:
I'd classify this as an abuse of the Emergency Alert system.
If I may ask, where are you? I live near the coast and got the alert. Was it nationwide (silly) or just in coastal areas?
Non-news... A 1:34 video, waste of bytes.

Well they're definitely abusing the system now: I just got woken up by one that blasted right through the mute switch and just repeated the same stuff they'd already told us during waking hours.
Edit: Sorry, didn't notice that there's another thread about this.

Actually, I thought that showed the incompetence of the acting speaker quite well...
This whole article feels like someone needed to make a note about the 6.30am mobile alert: Tsunami emergency alert gives NZ an early morning wake up | Stuff
It was deliberately done to punish those who were late to bed after going to the beach at midnight 😁

My brain started melting as I worked through this one.
@lachlanw Yeah, took me a second glance, I guess a comma would make a whole difference there.

As a movie character once said for comedic effect, "I need to get to Hollywood to rescue my ex-girlfriend who was killed in a car explosion's monkey!"

Ah, Stuff quality.
So he was raped then?
A more descriptive headline would be "Prince Andrew raped at 11, biography claims"
And that would explain a lot.

Even the BBC:
"One of Italy's food associations said they were "astonished" to see the recipe on such an esteemed British food site, which was owned by the BBC until 2024."
Four paragraphs later:
"The Good Food food brand was owned by BBC Studios (the BBC's commercial wing) until 2018, when it was sold to Immediate Media Co - with the BBC prefix being dropped from its name last year."
(Also, the article itself is something of a war situation brewing between Italy and the UK).

Some of the most pointless arguments in the world occur between Italians from different regions over the a recipe. This is made worse by many popular dishes being recent inventions from outside Italy.
