Our Army is not a conscript Army, it is made up of professionals that chose to be there. Of course the rules of society apply to the Army it is nonsense to say they don't. A lot of the non pre-deployment exercises are done
for political and propaganda purposes and provide no real advantage to the personnel.

The Defence Force could do more realistic training to ensure all personnel are trained to meet all scenarios but are you willing to pay considerably more taxation to facilitate this and to ensure its done effectively and safely?

Better to them than to people on benefits

Also the British military is run by a democracy.

Do they get to vote to go to war?

As it shows you seem to lack compassion for you fellow humans.

May you please join the military and see what it's like before posting further on this topic. thanks in advance.

You realise that that school children are out playing in -25 degrees right? While the solidiers from the UK apparently lack the strength to be out in less than -20 degrees weather?

I think you have nailed this one on the head...

Ridiculous.. But obviously this thread has been turned around to show it as a hostile training method. At the end of the day, its a bit of cold. Toughen up.

Do these children spend several days without break in these conditions exposed to the winds, wet etc etc etc ?

No because they are children, these are soldiers, most likely dressed for the weather and being trained to survive it, people do live in worse conditions everyday in certain parts of the world than that soldiers are given to train in

LOL

You forgetting something. There are humans on both sides of the firing line.

The other territory you referring to has humans too. And war is not always about gaining territory. These days it can be anything, an uprising against the government can be classed as a war. Many nations are at war with themselves.

We dont need an enemy outside our borders to have a war. The military is trained and normally prepared for all of these kinds of threats.
