mylifeisba:
Has anyone else found that larger parcels like computer covers and sleeves take a shorter time to arrive than smaller parcels like screen protectors?
I think i have.
I've order a server case, seems like it's moving slower than the cables I've ordered (in separate order)

day 70ish and it finally arrives in NZ and I get this notice... Its just some cables and USB expansion cards worth around $170... that's seems super weird to me

Maybe they detected the expansion card is buggy.
(sorry, I couldn't resist the dad pun)
What's the recent shipping time for UBI?
It only took average 2 weeks last year when I received my items via UBI mid-lockdown, but now I have items that were sent on the 8th Feb with no updates.

Depends on the seller. Some sellers put a 90 day "processing time", on top of the 90 days delivery time. I had one delivery that only took 4 days, but the seller took 4 weeks to "Process" the order.
I had 1 UBI package, order first week of Jan. Showed up about 2 weeks ago, with items I ordered on the 1st of Feb.
My guess they waited until their container was full before they shipped it.
I ordered a small package 10th Feb, robot vacuum parts. "Shipment accepted by airline" on 17th Feb on then "depart country of origin" (China) 24th Feb. Estimated delivery time is 13 - 20 days. We're at about 38 days now. It looks like this is pretty normal, but if it actually went on a plane as opposed to a boat I wonder where it's gone.
Back to the future ...

This is from the chinapost-track.com site.
Gonna wait to see if their prediction comes true.
That China Post tracking site is useful. Unlike the AliExpress site it says my package left Shenzhen by boat on 3/3/2021, so it will take a while to arrive. One website says about 40 days on the boat! Lucky I'm not in a hurry.

That's pretty close to when I ordered/UBI says it has left origin port. Hopefully mine arrives soon as well!
Were you able to track it on NZ post with the original UBI tracking number?

Nothing comes up with NZ post. But track24.net seems to give more frequent updates
richms:just had a long refunded parcel from September turn up. Its only 2 little HDMI adapters so not sure I will bother paying the seller. Never have any idea if they got any compensation from the post or not.
Same here, ordered 7 September, allegedly arrived in NZ 20 September, delivered today after 193 days, 6 1/2 months. I wonder if our orders were both in some forgotten bin in a corner of a NZ Post warehouse.
Jonamaster: Hi. I’m new to this forum but have previously used AliExpress with no real issues usually receiving orders within 2 to 4 weeks out of China. My latest orders on 17 & 18 feb were received on 6 & 11 March - China post air - but an order (of course the one I really needed) from 27/1 has been stuck on ‘departed port of origin’ Shenzhen since the 7/2 and has not moved since. This was AliExpress standard shipping which I paid a reasonable amount for. Interestingly, track24.net now shows ‘departed from origin port’ on 16/3.
Does this suggest some movement? Would this have gone on a slow boat and there is still hope of receiving this delivery or should I give up all hope and order elsewhere and try for a refund after the 90 days? Any suggestions appreciated.

And the second item, ordered a week or so later, has now also turned up. The tracking for both items actually made sense until they got to NZ, then there was no movement for six months. I wonder if it really was at the NZ end? The one odd thing is that it was recorded as Shenzhen -> HK -> NZ but the carrier was Emirates Post in both cases.
