Frank is fully settled in now, and growing!  He swings from super cute to maniac murderer pretty frequently.

I have a Jack Russell. The good news is they retain their puppy behaviours until they're about 10yrs old. The bad news is that they retain their puppy behaviours until they're about 10yrs old.

Enjoy the ride. My Douglas turns 17yrs in January (fingers crossed!)

Well, he made it.

Douglas turned 17 this morning. Profoundly deaf, partially blind and slightly incontinent but still terrorising the neighbour's cats when they dare enter our backyard. We're not expecting an 18th out of him but we'll continue to cherish every day we have with him from here on.

Happy birthday Douglas, it's my birthday too! I'm in good company it seems.

Frank is getting bigger and crazier by the day.

Here is Tuffy one year on. He would have been born around this time. He is a cat with attitude, feisty and determined to have things his way. He happily drives his older cousin Moe to distraction sometimes.

Nice!  Our cat Mimi hopped on the couch last night, I said something to her, she winked, cute as.

Is Tuffy a Maine Coone?  He sure looks like one.  This is our Ruben.  He is a 'mostly' nice cat, but by heck he never stops meow meow meow.  Coones are known to be vocal, so does that sound like Tuffy?

I don't know what Tuffy is. People dump cats (may they rot in hell!) in the countryside where we live. We feed strays that come around to the house. Tuffy just showed up one day. I adopted him because I could see he wouldn't make it without help. There is one other cat that resembles him. All the others have short hair and tiger stripes. Tuffy isn't especially vocal, but he usually responds when I talk to him.

We left our animals in NZ as we didn't want to have to subject them to long flights or the heat here. Our current rental has two semi strays which we have ended up feeding.

Dubai is really awful for people getting pets for the holidays or as novelties then dumping them. We've taken a couple of rabbits as fosters, which if it works out we'll end up doing as a semi regular thing. They are nice wee things and the kids are stoked having some new animals to play hang out with. Olive the cat was a bit nervous for half an hour but has chilled out and they all seem happy.
