Handle9: Mrs Handle submitted her masters dissertation today. She’s still got a round of feedback but she’s pretty much done after 2 years of working full time and studying part time. I couldn’t be prouder.

And she's done. She submitted her final dissertation at 2am this morning. She's done so very well, now she can have an easier school year at her new school.

My injured son can drive again - seeing the joy on his face when he got behind the wheel of his new car and drove off for the first time...just drive safely, mate.

At the risk of sounding like a geek... just clicked a link to a deleted article, and the server actually returned the correct 410 error code instead of 404!

The local rights for the Rugby World Cup have gone to Starzsport who are cheap as chips. It'll cost me around NZ$30 to watch the games I don't go to.

Not exactly ‘something small’ - IANALego expert/collector but just saw this Liebherr crawler crane and I love it. Unfortunately our only grandchild is just three months old so she’s a bit young for me to get away with buying it for her for Christmas. 😀

More info.

So get it for yourself.  :-)

There's no rules about who can have Lego.  You don't have to be a collector or enthusiast, you could just be interested in that one set because it is interesting to you.   :-)

Don't gatekeep yourself out of something you enjoy.

Yep - have certainly considered that. Mrs Code can confirm that I am not known for gatekeeping myself out of stuff. Would get a huge kick out of building it - but not sure what I would do with it once it was completed. TBH it's not something I would really want sitting around or on display.

My comment about granddaughter and Christmas was tongue-in-cheek 'for me'.

Excellent.  :-)

Know the feeling about what to do with the larger models once built.  I have a still boxed Saturn V rocket kit (and Shuttle kit, Apollo Lander kit, ISS kit) because I have nowhere to put 1m long/tall of Lego model, particularly where the cats wouldn't push it off.

Funny you should mention Saturn V - I seriously considered buying that a few years ago - but didn't for the same reasons. It's a shame that you have them still sitting in their boxes, having bought them.

This crane looks so cool though - and nearly 3,000 parts. My 1950/60's childhood Meccano addiction has never really gone away - if there was one thing that was good for, it was cranes.

The Rolling Stones confirming the release of a new album.

It's phenomenal that they're still producing new material after more than 60 years and if the new single is anything to go buy it'll be a banger.  (Is it still OK to use that term, or have the kids moved on to something newer?)

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
