I got a "marketing" email from a company, and thought to myself "I'm sure I'd previously unsubscribed from these". I clicked on the unsubscribe link, and got "error: you're already unsubscribed".

Rain on the MetService radar sliding down each side of Auckland and not falling where we want it on the North Shore.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Getting woken up by fireworks at midnight last night in an otherwise quiet suburb - and then I discovered today there's some fire ban in place!

Yeah, but fireworks aren't included in the fire ban.

There’s a group of people at MetService earning very good salaries as professional liars.

There’s some at JetStar too but they’re way less professional.

When you're back in office attire and find that your belt has shrunk over the holidays.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

Known fact: belts are prone to shrinkage through lack of use, especially during holiday periods that, quite coincidentally, include access to copious quantities of tasty food and beverages.

ETA; this phenomenon also extends to business attire including (but probably not limited to) shorts, trousers and (for women) skirts and dresses.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

That most of the rubbish we throw out is various types of plastic that can't be recycled such as cling wrap, plastic film, plastic bags.

Everything else that we can possibly recycle, we do. We also have a compost heap for organics.

Agreed. However, I have noticed that restaurants have switched to absorbent recycled cardboard for doggie bags, which are hopeless as the food sticks to it. They don't even put a wax paper slip in it!

Weird. They say it will be 23 for example, the temp graph never goes that high, maybe 22 or 21, same with some showers, the graph doesnt show any drops
