Depending on colour or fuel type.... If it's diesel, chances are it needs an injector clean.

If it's fuel injected petrol, and it's blowing smoke, it's effed.

This is often caused by people buying vehicles with insufficient engine power for the vehicles intended purpose. This problem is rife with diesel engines. You often see diesels with black smoke pouring out the exhaust as the driver has the pedal to the metal. Yet the vehicle is struggling to even reach the speed limit.

Also some of those cars would be driven by people who can't afford repairs or A new car. Taking those cars off the road will mean some people will no longer be able to get to work. And end up on the dole.

They may occasionally be used for that. It is surely not the primary purpose, because they would not need to record every conversation just for training. Representative examples would suffice...

I've done this one before but it annoyed me again this morning...

Remastered albums that replace the original and somehow make finding the original version you know and prefer impossible.

Today I played Script For a Jester's Tear by Marillion, an album I bought on release in 1983 and which I know inside out. Apple music's version is the 1997 remaster, which is appreciably different (ie they have not just improved the rendering of the original using better technology, they have messed with rhythm, timing and instrument tracks to actually make different versions of the original tracks) and there is no apparent way to get the original version now.

Agree. I find tracks remastered post itunes use a wall of sound approach and lack dynamic range.

Also the sensitivity of recording equipment to some frequencies sounds has improved over the years, so remastering an old recording can change the feel of it significantly.

Outside of Apple's 'walled garden' sites like mp3million allows customers to access a range of versions of the same album.

When people ask for advice on a thread then they dont do what 99.9% of people suggested (which was the same thing) and go back to doing what they did prior which put them in the situation they are in.

I have less of an issue where 'remastered' means "cleaning up the original analogue tape masters to sound cleaner".

What really annoys me is where it should say "remixed" rather than "remastered" because they've actually changed the tune to reflect some different interpretation.
