Regarding parking enforcement, it annoys me when going into the Intercontinental Hotel carpark in a weekend and finding half the public spaces taken by parking enforcement vehicles (obviously without valid tickets). Anyone who knows this carpark knows that the public spaces are limited and many of them are quite tight and difficult to get into due to the poor design and placement of pillars so finding Wilson's cars taking up the spaces you can easily use is quite frustrating.

I questioned them about this on Facebook once and they replied that that's where they store their cars while they are off the road. Whether it's fair for them to take up that many public spaces I'm not sure.

afe66: People complaining that NZ is turning into a Third World country.( I very much doubt they have lived in a Third World country)

People that use "Third World country" to designate under-developed or developing countries when in fact it means "non-aligned to NATO or Soviet Union"

"Because many Third World countries were economically poor, and non-industrialized, it became a stereotype to refer to poor countries as "third world countries", yet the "Third World" term is also often taken to include newly industrialized countries like Brazil, India and China now more commonly referred to as part of BRIC. Historically, some European countries were non-aligned and a few of these were and are very prosperous, including Ireland, Austria, Sweden, Finland, and Switzerland."

"Craft" beer snobbery, when often all it seems to mean is to whack far more hops than desirable (IMO) put it in a bottle with a clever name and charge up to 4x the price of what a beer should cost.  Much of it's as awful as the rest of it is overrated.

Yes that's the official definition but not the one in popular usage.

Bars that list (and charge more for) well known beers in the "Imported" category even though they're "Made under license" in Auckland.

The incorrect interchangeability of "then" and "than", "you're" and "your" and "been" and "being" from people that are otherwise apparently intelligent. It makes reading their sentences twice as long as you have to go back over it again substituting in the correct word once you get to the point it no longer makes any sense.

HPe's customer "support" policy when it comes to a simple BIOS update after the warranty period. Thanks, they can keep their MicroServers of any Gen just for that reason.

I do not drink much, but when I do buy beer I scour the labels to ensure that they're not made under licence. None of those ever taste right.
