The difference an inexpensive but good quality air cooler makes.

Idle temps down from 53 degrees to 39 degrees and maxes out around 50 degrees under load.

Behodar:

Now if only they can work out that minimum wage for a shelf-walker is cheaper than having chicken and sausages randomly deposited on a shelf!

Yeah, who does this?

I often think it's kids taking the mickey, but a head of broccoli in the frozen pastry freezer .. c'mon...

The panic when going through photos in iPad and realising an album of old important family photos had vanished.

Then remembering Google Photos which I never use and finding those and so many others that had disappeared. Sigh of relief. Thank you Google.

Nah it's just people who change their minds and are too lazy to put it back where it belongs.

Careful, isn't Google going to delete any orphan accounts older than 2 years at the end of year?

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Hopefully, in the next couple of days @eva888 will post back here saying they are smiling because they have confirmed their files are backed up and safe :)

Sensibo Plus telling me the Aircon in my Sons room has been on for 744 hours this month.

It's turned on overnight. Off whilst he is at school etc.

I switched to a new ISP today. Entered a new username, password and SIP registrar and voila ... everything including dual IP stack is running smoothly and even cheaper than before. No h/w change, no tricks, just the standardized connection parameters and guaranteed data rates provided in advance - that's how it should be.

Even if everyone is bashing the EU bureaucracy (they must have copied this uncritically from the British), it is doing a lot for the rights of citizens as consumers. 🙂

Today, this is no longer called stealing, but ‚borrowing away.‘ 🤣

The pre-Christmas battle for prices has long since begun here! Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become 2-3 whole weeks of discounts. What you really need are (only) a few good things on your list, networking with like-minded people on a consumer portal and lying in wait to strike at the right moment with your purchase (fortunately, you've long since figured out the often repetitive strategy of individual, large companies through observation). And you also need to be a little flexible, but we don't take slow selling sitting ducks either. 😉

I smile at our vets bills of precisely $0.

Spending a lovely long weekend with my elderly parents last weekend.
They’ve aged incredibly since I last saw them at Xmas, but it was so good to see them.

Very sad to see them go at the end of their short trip to see us, but made me realise how short life is and that I need to make more of an effort to go and see them, even though they are in Dunedin, which as everyone knows is not a real place.

School is cancelled due to rain (Dubai). It'll be the 7th circle of hell on the roads today so it's not a bad thing.
