I believe Monty Python have already provided a caption for this photo...

“I don’t want to talk to you no more, you empty-headed animal-food-trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries.”

Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!

Our foster rabbits got adopted and have a permanent home with a lovely family. We got a new (foster) vermin infestation last night.

Well, it took an extra week to collect Tilly (another lowchen and poodle cross) - the whole family came down with a tummy bug so we had to postpone the roadtrip.

Here she is:

Informative article from Consumer NZ

Here’s what you should consider when choosing pet food – and the claims you can take with a grain of salt.

Pet food: are 'premium' brands worth the money?

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Handle9: Molly the stabrador

When we moved to Dubai we left Molly with my mother in law who lives on a farm. She had a wonderful 3 years there.

Last week Molly had a seizure and the decision was made to put her down.

Hoogie (Blue Ringneck) and Spike (Cockatiel)...

Hoogie is the real "attention seeker" - he likes to hog onto the limelight and will come close to you when you have the camera/phone around.

They are our "Babies", but in reality they are probably old men in their own world - have had Spike (got him from Animates in Kaiwharawhara) since May 2003 and Hoogie from a breeder since Oct/Nov 2004.  Hoogie was about 8 weeks old when we brought him home, not sure how old was Spike when we got him but he did look young...

Parrots look to be fun pets from the various videos you see of them on YouTube, but who looks after them if you have to go away?  Can you take their cage next door to a friendly neighbour, or would they create mayhem at being left behind?  I'm thinking of one of my dogs that used sus we were travelling if we were loading the car, and get in and totally refuse to get out in case we left her behind.

When I lived in Ireland I used to travel a lot for work (>180 nights a year away from home). This is what my dog used to do every time I starting packing a case.
