People who get into a lift and stand at the back instead of the side, even through they know they will be first off the crowded lift.

"Video reporting". It's ok to show the video since this is something you want to see in action. But put the text underneath it. I don't want to have to watch the whole thing to get the story.
The BBC is doing it now but the Washington Post does it a lot. Sometimes I click from my feed reader and it's a damn video. I can't always have sound on and I don't to watch things all the time.
Video reporting often seems to be slower/ less informative than reading text articles.
I can read a lot faster than you can speak and you can phrase text points and sentences in a way that conveys points more clearly and efficiently.
This struck me the first time I turned on sub titles to NZ mainstream news was how slow it was.
Don't get me started on pointless video crosses to some reporter standing in a field who I doubt has really discovered something "breaking" they didn't know one hour earlier.
Let the news reader read all your points off the teleprompter and move onto the next article.
Doing a restart on my Win10 computer to be presented with a totally different screensaver, then NO taskbar icons / email account details etc.
Obviously did updates! (This pc is manually checked daily for any! - NONE today!) Nothing advising a restart!
Shut it down & turned it off in disgust. (After all disk activity had stopped of course)
Turned it on after 5 minutes.
Made a cup of tea.
Came back, and all was restored!
Can't Microsoft get updates right yet?!
How many people have trashed machines due to updates!
I'm calmer now!
The early arrival of Winter, who on earth ordered that and can we send it back.
People that try it on with an insurance company to get cover after their "un-insured" event has occurred.

Not to mention reporters interviewing other reporters. Or soundbites from experts who have no information but are invited to speculate on what *might* have happened.
Pushy doctors and nurses asking me if I've had a flu jab for the winter. No I haven't. And no, I don't bloody want one.
People that take every opportunity to inject their opinions into what should be a factual discussion. Just now I saw this one on another forum (paraphrased):
Person A: How do I turn off two-factor auth on this device?
Person B: I find it better to leave it on because it's more secure.
Person A: We have 100 employees out in the field, with a single device, and we can't have them coming back into head office to use a "trusted device" every time they need to log in. Now how about answering the question?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Getting my flu jab later today, work arranges for a nurse that comes in and administer it.

I don't mind winter so much - at least I get to go play in the snow. But autumn is the worst. Neither summer nor winder recreational activities are any good (or even possible). It's as windy as all hell and the fishing is off.
I love the seasons, one of the reasons I returned to the South Island a few decades ago.
Along with Spring, Summer, and Winter, Autumn is one of my favourite seasons:
It really annoys me when banks, finance companies, insurance companies, and other hucksters appropriate off-patent music to sell their services.
