My current rig is my daughters magnadoodle. Battery life is brillant as it does use any but data retention is only lasts minutes cos she loves wipping it. The acer would be a huge upgrade and who know's she might even let me us it occanionally.
I need one of those because I only read about touch screens in the newspaper. I asked my local librarian but she couldn't find any books about this wonderful apparatus so I would need one to properly check it out with my magnifying glass.
Does having a 2005 ASUS A2000 rig with a stuffed battery and a dodgy key qualify me for a tablet.... HOPE SO... Starting a degree next year with the ASUS would definitely not be ideal. Hears hoping...
I don't currently have an Android device myself but am dabbling with writing applications for one using Eclipse and the emulator that comes with the Android SDK.
I currently have a Notioink adam which I purchased after watching the press about unit. It is from a startup in India and whilst it does most of what I want it is not developing or moving forward, the Indian company Notionink seems to be struggling to come to grips with the reality of being a product supplier and having real customer to answer to. As such, I would like to move forward to a tablet that is developed and supported by a recognised company that will have a roadmap and will continue to provide new releases for it. Hence my desire to have the Acer Iconia A500 and 32gb Micro SD card.
This tablet. Well. All I can say is I would use it for two things. Firstly, as our home computer. Why you ask? Well, we had a latop which blew up, so we bought a new one then it got dropped and stopped working so got biffed. Secondly I would use it to educate my daughter. She loves books and reading and interactive stuff so would load it up with things to teach her numbers and reading.
I miss out on the second entry as I dont have anything to take a picture of. Apart from maybe a rubbish bag similar to the one the two laptops ended up in.
I always thought a tablet would be ideal. Slimmer than a laptop, same usage, ideal Neil. That way the wife would look after it better!
I would love one of these because at the moment I have to fire up my laptop when I want to show anyone our website. This means that I need to haul the laptop with me everywhere I go.
