The almost ubiquitous "en suite". I actually wanted one of these once - was going to put one in our master bedroom, SWMBO objected stating that there was no way I was ever going to take a crap in her bedroom - which made sense. She got a large wardrobe instead, and the bonus for me is that she never takes a crap in my bedroom.

Easily solved. We have multiple bathrooms and our ensuite is only used in such an instance in emergencies.

Yeah - but the more toilets you've got, the more you have to clean.

Cleaning toilets is something small which really annoys me.

The DomPost and Herald solved your problem by reducing the newspaper to tabloid size...

Being Tabloids seems to suit those two publications now. When I was at Wellington Newspapers the editors and management of both the Evening Post and Dominion were adamant that they would never become tabloids.

...and as such, if they'd just add perforations and use a softer grade of newsprint, they'd eventually drive the toilet paper manufacturers out of business.

Not as far as I know. I have gmail but I never use my Google ID and I never get advertising. My search engine is usually Startpage or Duckduckgo. I have to use my Google ID with Android TV but I have recommendations and everything else turned off. I only use it for Kodi. I have some subscriptions but I rarely use them. I still don't know why it wants me to look for pictures of Jennifer Lawrence.

Removable wall picture hangers:

For a start, they're ridiculously priced for a few cents worth of plastic and a self adhesive strip. Then they don't work - as a picture fell off the wall a few months later - and a few days after that another one did - in another room. Then you read the instructions extremely carefully, and try again making sure that you use exactly the right cleaning product (isopropyl alcohol), that the weight of the picture is well within the claimed holding capacity, that you don't hang the picture on the hook for however long they recommend, and they still don't work. Just to rub it in, as the picture frame drops, it'll probably scrape, transferring some of the paint on the frame to the paint on the wall, it won't be able to be cleaned off - leaving you with a worse mess to sort out than patching a hole and repainting - which is why you used the stupid things in the first place. Then someone tells you that the problem was that you used a crappy brand of removable wall picture hangers, so you try the brand they say works well, read the instructions etc etc, and they still fall off the wall.

It can also have to do with the quality of the wall surface, though I agree with you that the adhesive is also often crap. I also had problems with some hooks coming loose. They were actually pulling patches of paint off. I ended up replacing the adhesive ones with screw-on ones. That was the only thing that worked.
