Having your flight cancelled and there are no hotel rooms available. I’m looking at you Munich.

That sucks.  I've come close to that but never actually been without accommodation.

Yeah it wasn’t a great night but lightning storms at an airport are a nightmare.

We were unfortunate as we were the latest flight so all the rooms had gone. I had our corporate travel agent looking for a room for an hour and a half before we gave up

Geektastic: The fact that, in 2018, my wife cannot catch the train to work two days running.

Yesterday there was a tree on the line. Today she can't even get out of Martinborough because there has been too much rain and the bridges are closed....

What's the point of a bridge that has to be shut because there's too much water?

Just like trains in the UK cancelled because there are leaves on the tracks?

Yes exactly like that.

Or the wrong kind of snow on the tracks.

That also.

However, building a bridge over a river that cannot carry out it's one and only purpose in life due to the presence of the water it is supposed to cross takes some beating.

This is pretty minor, but annoys me on the behalf of someone else .

NZ post , who constantly deliver mail to me in Mt Maunganui despite being addressed to Waiheke Island.

I phoned them a while back, and they said they made an adjustment which meant this would be permanently fixed.

But , I continue to receive another persons mail. Yesterday was the latest.

It is a bizarre thing. I get more of this other persons mail than of my own!

Our mail goes to a PO Box. We get heaps of mail for one of the vineyards nearby as well as our own and no matter how many times I take it back to the people who manage the PO Boxes, it keeps happening. Grrrrrr

Nothing is for no apparent reason. If it's there, it is because I thought it is needed.

I noticed this as well and the only serious reason I could find is: You are planning to take over the domination of the world. cool

Waiting for the needless fiber consent process where they send things to people who also want fiber.
