BlueBridge, you suck.

The rubbish bin not getting emptied at all - rejected by the collection crew because a bit of cardboard propped it ajar.
We had an interesting situation a number of months ago.
The rubbish collection truck forgot to collect our entire street.
I assumed they'd changed the day or something, so waited another day, still wasn't done, so called the bin company.
Explained they hadn't collected the entire street. They asked for my address, sent a truck but they only collected our bin!!! Left the neighbours bin and everyone elses full bins uncollected!
Inwardly i thought, what a pack of morons!

This is pretty minor, but annoys me on the behalf of someone else .
NZ post , who constantly deliver mail to me in Mt Maunganui despite being addressed to Waiheke Island.
I phoned them a while back, and they said they made an adjustment which meant this would be permanently fixed.
But , I continue to receive another persons mail. Yesterday was the latest.
It is a bizarre thing. I get more of this other persons mail than of my own!
This story might interest you (although it's unlikely to help at all!)
Companies which despite your request and their assurances that your personal details / data will be deleted and no further contact will be made, they obviously didn't!
3 years after requesting this of Countdown OneCard, I receive today an email from them stating :
"Looking after your personal data has always been really important to us.
So we have updated our Privacy Policy to make it clearer for you to understand how we collect, store and use your information.
We understand that protecting your privacy is essential to building a lasting relationship with you and we're committed to doing the right thing with the information you entrust us with."
Well which part of "delete me" don't they understand!
I am on hold to them trying again!
And yes, they still have my full details!
Received this:
Thank you for your recent pre-order of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice ~ PS4.
Unfortunately when editing this product online the wrong price was
loaded and this game is actually $99.00 not $9.00
We have gone and cancelled your order and if payment has been made this will be refunded back to your payment method.
If you would still like to pre-order this game we can offer it to you for $92.00, please re-order and let us know your order number, we will then update your price.
Please accept our sincere apologies for this error.
I didn't remember it being $9 when I ordered (and I imagine that I'd notice that!) so I went back to my original order confirmation and it was $92. Also, despite the claim that they'd cancelled my order, it was still there, but had been changed to $99.
I replied and pointed out that it hadn't been cancelled and asked whether it could be adjusted back to $92. They proceeded to cancel the order and make me start the whole process again. Sigh.

People who burn wet wood in winter.
Wood burners have to be banned in urban areas. We are regularly smoked out of our house this winter! Not sure who it is, but there is nothing we can do other than inhale polluted air.
People who forgo modern heating systems used elsewhere for many many decades in favour of heating their houses the same way Saxons and Vikings did...! ![]()

They do, which is why I only ever use Interislander!

What? Heading for the stack of wolfskins with the missus and/or mistress(es)?
Terrible idea.
People from truly dark gloomy places who whinge about the climate in NZ and expect triple glazing:

Gah!

Dude don't complain. You could end up having to do it yourself.
I'd invite visitors to the house every week!
Our local shop (for local people...nothing for you here..) is going plastic bag free in a fit of virtue signalling.
Meanwhile, all the products they sell continue to be packed in a good deal of plastic...far more than the bags contain, I suspect.
What annoys me is the sudden obsession with getting rid of "single use" plastic bags (which are rarely, IME, used only once but that is by the by) yet no similar obsession with removing plastic from food packing where feasible. An example of this is Weetbix. The UK equivalent, Weetabix, has the biscuits packed in paper wrap and has done since before I was born 50 years ago. Yet Weetbix comes with a plastic bag (surely single use too) in every box. It's clearly proven that packing dried wheat biscuits in paper works, so why not embrace that and make it a positive marketing act?
