Handsomedan: I would do the following, while technology was still available (not necessarily in this order):

1. learn to fly
2. learn maintenance of motorised objects/electronics/wiring/plumbing etc
3. learn to play guitar
4. learn about agriculture/horticulture/hunting/gathering
5. get over my fear of spiders/snakes/the dark/zombies/vampires/werewolves
6. research the locations of knowledge depositories - i.e. world's most exhaustive libraries etc
7. learn to build
8. stockpile any/all clothing and resources I could ever need in several locations and in several backpacks/transporters for adventuring
9. learn to shoot/maintain a weapon/use a bow/make a bow
10. learn to navigate

Suggest that you do this *before* becoming the last person on Earth. Especially learning to fly. Waiting until then to learn guitar might be a good thing, OTOH.

Once I had got well enough down the track with most of that, I'd start exploring further afield, using vehicles of every sort to get about (depending on their availability and the availability of fuel).
I'd then get to the coast and head to Australia, after which I would go through Asia, on to Europe and eventually Africa and again through Northern Europe/Asia to America).

Exploring, foraging, hunting, building, enjoying, etc.

I would break into Police HQ and find out the locations of the biggest drug dealers known. Then I would break into their place, steal all of their drugs and flash cars and go on a massive bender.

Pedantically speaking, I don't think you *can* steal if you're the last person on Earth.

Just wondering - did the people all mysteriously vanish all at the same time?  If so, what happened to their cars?
I think :

They are all over the roads, so the possibility of speeding everywhere is somewhat limited

or

all the cars that people were in disappeared so the supply of cars to drive is somewhat limited...

IF I were the last person on earth I imagine things might go something like this :

1) raid food stores and supermarkets and eat all that I want
2) raid an alcohol store and drink a lot.
3) find a Porsche to drive at speed.

Eventually end up doing all 3 things at once - driving drunk while eating something, crash and die.

All these people that say they would stock pile and build defences - for what???  certainly no wild animal in NZ would be a threat to your life and there's no humans going to come and kill you...

Doing your best is much more important than being the best.

Actually considering the amount of car yards there would be plenty of cars, most of the good ones that people cant afford either :).

Stock pile of ammo and guns would be handy for hunting the many things you will need (if you want to eat meat) don't forget (depending on your age) you may have 2 or more decades of hunting to do.

Feral dogs will be your main threat, imagine what the dog population would be like after 10 years, all sorts of inbreed nasty undomesticated dogs (hungry dogs).

Domestic dogs would be feral in less than a week, and revert to pack instinct.

There was this TV series, Life After Humans, exploring quite a few aspects if humans suddenly disappeared.

Many roads eould crack, or have plants growing thru them in a year.

Electricity - gone within a week.

Fuel - petrol degenerates.

Food  - about a year for easily reachable non-perishables. After that, things start going icky.

Medical ?

Most penicillin are good for a year, if powdered.

There is a project somewhere that documents farming, medicine, engineering, blacksmithing, etc, everything you needed to know if civilisation was gone, and had to start from scratch.

Ironically, it's on the net somewhere, but cant find it ... undecided

Being actually the only person at all.
Of course I'd treat myself.
Then find somewhere I can survive out my remaining years, and something to end it pleasantly should something happen to prevent that.
