Huge fail. Not all products are cost + GST, and I'm talking about stuff that aren't on the exclusion list. Everything is discounted but by varying degrees. This is false advertising.

Half the blu-rays I took up they just said "Already at cost, no discount" Some of the TVs "Sorry, already below cost" GGRRR. Nowhere near as good as I was hoping.

I guess the flyer doesnt say all products storewide, it just says products storewide.

Got a good deal on an Onkyo receiver and DishTV, before 6pm and without a flyer.  Didint even have to stick around to see whether the place packed out or not.

I went to the St Lukes one in Auckland. There were some good bargains on TVs. Bought 3 Blu-rays which had a couple of $$s off. The Galaxy S2 was $999. Not enough off to part with my money for that..

I went along to the Wellington store at around 7.45, not expecting much after some of the comments here. In this case I think it was better to go later unless you knew what you wanted had a very limited stock. I was able to have a person come around with me and price the products I was interested in.

Looked at some hard drives, interesting to see that a 320gb portable hard drive, currently on special for $74 at cost price is $84 (selling below cost apparently). A 500gb portable hard drive retailing for $99 at cost price was $93, I didn't end up buying either but was still interesting to see.

In the end I bought some edifier M3200 speakers, current store price was $109, at cost price they were $70.50, cheapest in stock ones on price spy are $93 so I feel as though I got a good deal.

I have mates that bought CD's and Vinyl for much less than it would usually cost. One friend got 3 CD's that would usually cost $90 for $59.

Obviously I wasn't looking for any high value items, if I was I might have viewed it a little differently but I steered clear of the TV section.

I'd just like to say I was happy with the sale, you can understand how the savings on lower value items such as CD's and DVD's wouldn't be particularly high.

Good job JB-HIFI

Was really good. Walked out with $25 Sony in-ears for $13.97, and was going to get some Skull Candy in-ears too which were $15 down from $32 or something. Rediculous mark ups >.< but glad I found out on here about the sale because I needed new headphones soon anyways. Thanks guys :D
