not sure why they would exclude ipads when 'cost+GST' is probably the retail price anyway :P

Also bearing in mind:  It would be awfully unprofessional of a retail outlet to turn you away when you wanted to buy something.  And it will be chaos.

How do you know what the cost of an item is? Do you get to see the supplier invoice? I think these sales can be a bit misleading.

they can indeed, since even if you see the supplier invoice (which you won't,but even if..) then it still won't take into account the many varied rebates and kickbacks the retailer gets fro the supplier.
