Yeah, did a quick Google and it first appeared in Germany in 1953, renamed because trying to pronounce "Adirondack Chair" (the original name) in German leads to odd results.

Tinkerisk: Yes, or Airondack chair. There are many names, but this one is produced locally and actually protected by copyrights due to certain features (I don't know which ones).

Apparently it "has its own character" with the inspiration being the Adirondack chair.  From looking at various photos the "character" is either uncomfortably high armrests or an uncomfortably low seat, hard to tell with all the photos being of empty chairs.

But you can actually sit comfortably in it for hours. When we sat in it for the first time at the Alster in the park, this was also the reason why we absolutely wanted to have one (for reasons of space) and then I took the measurements. They are heavy and bulky.

Hmm, OK.  From the photos the proportions look rather off.  Maybe the camera is adding ten pounds or something.

Bought a Wagner spray paint unit from M10, it was $1 cheaper at Bunnings so I got a 15% discount, saved over $80...😁

Could you not have taken that to Bunnings and got a further 15% off?

No, they have a very loose definition of what advertised means as well. They will refuse to match photos of the other stores price on the shelf that has been dropped to a couple of cents below the other stores price, despite instore pricing being considered advertising by the ASA.

The wild sown yellow daisies that edge our motorways.

Always a lovely splash of colour this time of year.

Good question. Not so many grievances I guess. 2024 was a stellar year /s

(except, for you, the attack on the German market and Elon interfering with German politics) /not s

Being back home after a couple of nights away at the beach.

We had a great time but there’s nothing like being home to my own bed and own coffee.

Smiling at the thought of finally being able to get back on my bike after surgery, once Christmas is all over.

A day spent in perfect sailing conditions with whales, mantas, dolphins, excellent snorkelling (First time for both our kids), finished off with a nice dinner and some board games.

I don’t know if I’m happy or annoyed but I’ve paid my tax bill for last year.
