I'm rolling with a theme here.

Watched (or attempted to watch) The Marvels.

It's really quite bad and I am fairly forgiving when it comes to superhero movies.

"Their language is song and most of them won't understand you if you don;t sing to them"...um - they were singing in ENGLISH!

It's bad. Very bad. It's also bad.

Despite all the bad reviews, I attempted to watch this with an open mind. Three forgettable main characters, no story development and even the battle scenes have been done so many times before, it meant I wasn’t even entertained. And what idiot thought “Hey, a musical number works in Disney movies, let’s put one in here.” Likewise, if a CGI animal was a hit last time, let’s turbocharge it this time.

It says something when the highlight for me was WetaFX slipping in the Easter egg of NZ from space (51:46).

Glad I didn’t pay to see this at the cinema. The MCU really is circling the drain.

Or maybe it's to get us ready for the coming digital apocalypse.

They could at least have the common courtesy to make the propaganda subtle enough that I'm not consciously aware of it.

The release of the live action Snow White should be interesting considering what people think Disney has done to the story, they have put it off releasing it for a year to make changes but according to social media it may be to late. The hate is strong.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Disney has always had plenty of not very subtle messaging in their films.

Their film issues in recent times are largely about making large numbers of boring movies and tv shows, not the messaging.
