The "thanks" thread is locked, so posting here instead. A smile for Auckland Airport. I'd booked and paid for parking there, but had to extend it by two days due to the cyclone. They happily did this with no charge.
Haha - we came home 2 days early (so after midnight Friday 7th instead of Saturday 8th afternoon) no discount for early arrival for us. Looks like we subsidised your parking π€£
At the Slipknot concert last night - only 8 of the 9 band members were able to make it, but one of the two percissionists that normally play more than made up for it, with his...interesting...antics.
It was like having a circus clown with a baseball bat performing alongside the heaviest gig I have ever been to.

We watch almost all of our TV via Apple TV. I have always found the ‘slightly-enlarged thumbnail’ method of highlighting shows on streaming apps very frustrating. I have good eyesight but really struggle to detect which one has been slightly-enlarged - although the difficulty does vary between different apps.
Just stumbled across something I find incredibly useful: In the settings on ATV > Accessibility > Display, you can change the focus setting to ‘high contrast’ which puts a white border around the highlighted app or show. This works not just on ATV+ but also on every streaming app supported by ATV. Small thing maybe but a game-changer for me.

Just realised I know this better in its original and more widely accepted form:

The relevance of it is that it's something (small) that makes me smile - which is exactly the point of this thread.
But I can also put it another way: „To live well is to live concealed.“ π

BBC News - Earrings worth $769,500 recovered by Florida police after alleged thief swallows them
today
Orlando police have recovered two sets of earrings worth a combined US $769,500 (£597,000) after an alleged thief swallowed them more than two weeks ago.
Jaythan Gilder, 32, swallowed the Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings around the time he was taken into custody on 26 February, police said.
Mr Gilder was monitored by detectives at an Orlando hospital for "more than a dozen days" before the earrings were expelled from his system, according to the Orlando Police Department.
Mr Gilder faces charges of robbery with a mask and grand theft in the first degree.
Tiffany's has since cleaned the earrings.

The report does mention that the 4th earing was recovered later.

When queried by reporters about how the wait for the evidence was going, the Orlando Police Department spokesperson said “Well, our detectives are just going through the motions”.
