Just binged The Expanse, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked it so much I'm trying to decide if I should start reading the books.

You'll be happy to know that SyFy has renewed it for a second season.  Starts early 2017.

Happy Valley season 2. Outstanding 9/10.

IMO better than season 1 and possibly better even than Broadchurch season 1.

Which leaves me in a dilemma. If I read the books it will somewhat spoil the show for me.

Yes the books will spoil the series, but the series 1 is only half of the first book so if you can't wait...

... But the books add depth and are really good. The characters are slightly different in the books as well (Holden in particular)

Anyway with the time between series nd the books you will have forgotten lots of what happened in book 3 in 6 years when (if) they make that season.

Just finished stranger things, really enjoyed it. Great storytelling which keeps you on the edge of your seat and wanting to watch the next episode.

Agreed.  Great series but next time I hope Netflix doesn't just dump the whole series at once but drip feed them every week to keep the expectations up.

The Tick from Amazon  and Jean-Claude Van Johnson  also from Amazon.  Two of their comedy pilots.    I wasn't impressed with The tick  but

Jean-Claude Van Johnson was quite good..

We have been watching Suits (myself and wife) - two or three per evening, now on Season 3 episode 6.

I have been watching The Americans by myself as wife is not into it. Almost at the end of Season 1 now.

Any similar recommendations? Wife and I like mild sci fi such as real world with a sci fi leaning. Me I like space sci fi so The Expanse might just be me

Suits and The Americans are both great series. Still going strong in my house, watched both series from the start.

I've been watching The Night Of. Great HBO drama series. Highly recommended. Final episode is on Monday!

Sorry, should have said that. Crime drama from the perspective of the person accused (wrongfully) and the court case/prison life.
