Wellington bus commuters who sprawl themselves all over the Lambton Quay and Willis St. footpaths while waiting for their transport, instead of standing to one side so that through traffic can walk past unimpeded.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

G Board.

Recently it has taken to not replacing the incorrect word with the correct word that it's suggested, instead somehow merging the two into random gibberish.

The bloody Americans who insist on writing the date backwards, and all the software here and elsewhere in the world that can't be bothered to correct that. It gets very confusing looking at something like 11/7 and trying to figure out if the month is November or July.

iPad apps not formatted for the iPad because they were written for the iPhone and the lazy developers can't be bothered to make them do things like rotating from vertical to horizontal on the iPad...

When given the chance, I make the requirement to present dates as DDMMMYYYY or DD-MMM-YYYY, such as 09-Nov-2018. I haven't, so far, had to manage multilingual expectations and the date has other english words in context.

This:

"Among the crosses there is a special section dedicated to the mothers who lost two or more sons. Nine mothers lost four sons, 53 mothers lost three sons, and 638 mothers lost two sons."

Now, don't misunderstand - it is not that per se that annoys me, at all - it's a very right and proper thing to do. It is the fact that the lost sons presumably also had fathers...who are apparently not worth mentioning. Some of the fathers will have been killed in the war and thus are commemorated seperately - but I doubt that applies to all of them, as some would have had reserved occupations, been medically unfit, too old and so on.

(Note - the report was from the Herald, so I accept it may be inaccurate and there may actually be a father's part of the memorial, for example, that the Herald just did not bother mentioning.)

Underpants that don't have a label that you'd associate with rear from front, don't have a design that clearly differentiates front from back visually, and like toast landing butter-side down, always end up the wrong way around - realised due to intense discomfort after you've got your trousers on.

I was going to blame someone else for the debacle, but realised that I bought them myself.

I'm going to ask SWMBO to get me sexy new undergarments for Xmas - under threat that I'll start wearing a kilt.

Whey you push Window Key + L to lock your Windows-based computer, remember that you need something before walking away and immediately enter the password or PIN to unlock it... And Windows takes 15 - 20 seconds to actually unlock and show the desktop.

(No, it's not going to sleep. It's just locked. Entering the PIN is done less than three seconds after pushing Windows Key + L).

When you RDP to your office PC and then it takes about 20 seconds to reorder all your windows to a single display, then you login via console when you get to work and it takes 20+ seconds to sort it out again. This is on a i7 with 32GB memory and a grunty graphics card.

We should start a windows annoyances thread lol. I have a list of about 40 things I wish MS would fix, that have been around varying lengths of time back to XP.

Countdown sold something at $15. It went up to $16 two weeks ago. Last week the had the nerve to advertise them on 'special' at $14.99, this week they again have the nerve to give them another 'special' price - $15
