Watching the "Pokemon Detective Pikachu" trailer with the intention to snort derisively at it, and then find I now want to go see it! ... bugger!!

I was all ready to dismiss it but then it actually looked quite good!

Dammit, these posts prompted me to look at the trailer.

Those newer BCI double decker buses in Auckland are ticking me off!

Actually much prefer the layout and space inside them compared to the original Alexander dennis models, but every time I hear one of the BCI double deckers take off there is this awful screaching sound - like a whole lot of belts slipping.

WTF? Surely they arent meant to sound like that!

We're sorry to let you know we've had to reschedule your flight(s) below due to operational requirements.

"Operational requirements" is such a conveniently bland quasi-reason.  that could be anything from the plane needs unexpected (5 months ahead!) maintenance to the plane is too empty to make money to we want to sell your seats to someone with more money.

Oh, and they want me to pay another $50 to change my subsequent NZ booking.

I suppose I should be happy that they eventually changed the connecting flight for free. But, in keeping with this thread's title, I'm still annoyed that it took the best part of an hour on the phone to get it done.

Last year I had a domestic US flight rescheduled to 24 hours later. At least they gave me about a month's warning. That change did not suit as itinerary and accommodation had all been sorted. I couldn't make a change online and I had to call the airline to get a refund. (It looks like they cancelled all flights on that one day.)

Better than Qatar, who cancelled our flights without telling us. Didn't find out until we tried to check in...

Something to do with one of their 777s getting run into on the tarmac in LA maybe?

Possibly, although the flight is not until May 2019.

Then this evening they altered the WLG-AKL leg from 1145hrs to 0900hrs, which is a massive PITA because I live 90 minutes away from the airport and have to check in 120 minutes before departure because the flight is international...

My flight change was also AirNZ, Houston to Auckland, May 2019, delayed 24 hours.

Nothing new there then. At first, it was a novelty. Now it's just annoying. Once a year, Air NZ - the rest of the time, have a normal safety video.

The fact that unanswered questions show as a number on TM listings. Either you have to answer every tool who wants to buy your item for half the cost you are asking and give you some magic beans instead, or you have to look like you're away on holiday and not paying attention. I can see no benefit to the world at large knowing how many questions have or have not been answered.
