I've watched the first three episodes of Red Dwarf season 11 on Dave. As a huge, long time fan, I've actually been really enjoying this season. Last year's resurrection on Dave was a lot better than I was expecting, given how much time had passed since the golden era of the early 1990s. Watching Season 10, I was put off a little bit by how silly and sometimes forced it seemed, but then I realised that it had always been silly (duh!), and that it was actually reasonably close to the early seasons in tone. Season 11 continues down this path, but the stories are a lot more refined and tighter than season 10.
The season opener was a great little story about an earth where technology is prohibited in a Prohibition-era America kind of way. People meet in speakeasy's to do "science" and stuff like that. It was the first time I laughed out loud (and not just a slight smirk) at a TV show in a long time.
In episode 2 the crew find a ship fitted with something called a Karma Drive, a fun concept wherein positive actions alter reality to reward people. I'll leave it to you to ponder what happens when the Boys from the Dwarf find it...
Episode 3, which we watched on Sunday night, involves them finding a highly sophisticated medical droid, the removal of two kidneys, and Lister depending on the altruism of the Cat.
I love this show. It has always been my number one favourite program of all time, and it's great to see new episodes after all this time (and after the nightmare that was season 8)
