The tissues in the pocket are the main issue for me. God, what a mess. Unfortunately, I am always the one who left them there. At least the pieces come out clean.

Well, I have a new one. For some reason that escapes me, all the car washes in my area have suddenly 'upgraded' to brushless washes. I already knew what to expect, but I was in a bind so tried one today anyway. It happened to be a Mobile station but I doubt if that makes any difference.
Here is a newsflash, people: Brushless washes don't do anything, and I mean anything. They don't remove dirt. They don't clean. They don't do a single, bloody thing. They don't even clean the glass. They don't remove dust. They certainly don't remove muddy paw prints. They don't do a thing, except take your money. So what idiots decided, apparently all at once, that every single service station in the country should suddenly switch over to these useless water wasters?
Don't bother going to a brushless car wash. They are utterly incapable of removing even the slightest streak of dirt from your car. They are the most useless, pointless, non-functional, moronic, idiotically designed, do-nothing devices I have ever encountered. They must have been created by Microsoft engineers (see Windows 10 thread).

They have a hard time doing that if there's a lawn in the way. They also tend to get blamed for the deposits of other animals.
There are no dogs in our neighbourhood but many many many cats, every god dammed day we have to clean up the mess. Unfortunately I cannot due to my suppressed immune system.
Their mess is more than just annoying it is a very real health hazard for me.
We have tried many cat repellents etc without success, maybe my sons suggestion of a shotgun may be the answer
We had all the neighbourhood cats using our garden beds as a toilet. Tried all the repellents, as well as chilli and some other new agey solutions that I forget, none worked.
Victory was eventually achieved through a couple of packets of bamboo skewers, probably 10cm or so apart. The little buggers didn't want to lower their delicates on to those, and a month or so later we were able to take them all out again when the habit had been broken/smell of other cats dissipated.
This was for a garden bed though rather than a lawn. I'd imagine the skewers would cause some issues for the lawnmower...

- People who leave tissues in pockets.
- People who put something coloured in with the whites.
- People who don't read garment care labels and stick delicate handwashing in a heavy cycle with a load of towels.
- People who put more "dry flat in shade" stuff in the washing than I have flat shady space to put it.
- People who put stuff in the wash when it doesn't need it (my daughter will put on a pair of jeans, wear them around the house for a couple of hours, then throw them in the laundry basket).
- People who don't put stuff in the wash then need something washed urgently as soon as you have finished a whole week's worth of laundry.
- People who don't know how to hang stuff up on a washing line.
- People who know how to hang stuff up on a washing line but can't be bothered doing it.
- Whoever installed the washing line at my house five feet off the ground, so I had to duck and squat under it to hang things up (since rectified).
- Birds who $#!+ on the washing while it's on the line.
- Cat hair. On everything.
Cheap washing line cable that breaks...

Well, thinking of the other thread that is going on at the moment "You know you are old when..... " ...... car washes actually worked and people had nothing to complain about - (before the lefty liberals saw their opportunity to get their teeth into them and complain about the so-called damage to the environment).
I find that the touchless car wash works okay on my car, but when I bought it I had paint protection applied and that repels dirt. The thing I like about my local touchless wash is that it washes the underside as you drive in.
I have to ask: If you have something that repels dirt, why do you need a car wash at all?

Ads that claim a product is "new and improved." How can something be both new and improved?

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
Every time I have to play tug of war with Noelle our kitten for the computer mouse cord. She thinks it's a game when I try to take it off her.
