Oh wait...
Maybe this really is fake news...
Typical scam. Exclamation point in the headline, money for free offer, urge to register soon or miss the opportunity - things that an actual newspaper wouldn't publish. Not different from other scams really.

Xmas prayer. Please Lord, assure me that she wasn't dyeing her hair in order to attract a breeding partner.
I hope the silly bitch is billed for misusing the emergency system.

The article says that only 20% of calls result in emergency response. That's appalling, in my opinion. Thankfully I've only needed to call 111 once (a guy randomly turned up on my doorstep bleeding from the face) but the call got through quickly.
I remember a similar news article a few years ago now. One genius phoned 111 because there were two hedgehogs fighting on his lawn. I kid you not.
First time I'd heard that the dispossessed losers in Remuera and Herne Bay were in need of such publicly funded "helpers".
But good luck to him in his new career.

It is appalling but I do not suppose the consequences of misusing the system are particularly onerous.
Well by Jesus, if my auntie had a beard, I'd have called her uncle.
Q3 in this afternoon's Stuff quiz.
I got it wrong.
Auto-correct is why I have crust issues.

Cheeky pricks.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

I particularly like the justification for lack of wireless charging because…
“This isn't a huge deal breaker as wireless charging is often slow and painful.”
Just not as painful as reading the article.
