You can if you use AirPlay, I think.
In the neighborhood, the smoke detectors go off at least once a week, cheering on their cooking skills. The problem now is probably that no one takes the alarms seriously anymore. Well, what more can you say? 🙂
Lumino - dentists: I called to see if they could see me earlier and whilst the branch I am booked into couldn't, they immediately looked at which clinics nearby could take me at short notice, as my issue is deemed urgent.
I am booked in for this morning nearby and they've simply transferred all my details across, with little to no input from me.
Amazing that good service is such a surprise these days!

I've since had a referral to a separate surgeon who removed the cracked tooth under IV sedation.
All in all, I am super impressed with how everyone in this whole chain of dentists, dental surgeons and associated staff have treated me and dealt with my needle-phobia, dental issues and everything associated with the whole drama.

[Envy] What's something small that really makes you envious?
Handsomedan:
...although after 30 years without, it turns out my teeth were perfect aside from the one cracked one that needed removal.

My youngest son has just passed his full driving licence test first time.
He's not a bad driver and as it turns out, he's good enough to be on the road after 10pm now!

My son had kept the driving license exam date a secret from me and suddenly showed up at my door for a joyride in an electric car from a car-sharing company. We then drove straight to the coast together. 😎
There used to be a thread for posting this sort of stuff but I cant remember what it was called, but this technological upgrade to the weather rock did make me smile....

Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!
There’s a cafe in our local village (Paper Moon, Mairangi Bay) has a four-faced clock in a tower on the roof of its building. The clock hasn’t worked for many years. Stopped at 11:05.
A few months ago I reviewed PM on Google Maps - mainly lamenting the broken clock. Recently I noticed that the clock had disappeared from the tower. I didn’t hold my breath. Maybe they had simply removed it.
Today I see the it’s back and is working. Not sure if it was the cafe or its landlord who was responsible but either way it’s nice to see.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
I’ve acquired a study on dystopia from Princeton University Press. I have a serious interest in the subject, and it is astonishing to see how many of the descriptions from futures studies have already come to pass. This is NOT about the grim futuristic visions found in sci-fi movies—yet, on the other hand, nothing of the sort seems sociopolitically impossible anymore.
Consequently, I am no longer sure if the "smile" category is appropriate.
