It turns out that the answer is "33 months later".

Something that increasingly annoys me is the atavistic Flight Centre commercials with the Ken/Barbie mannequins posing in uniform. The male ‘pilot’ figure doesn’t look filled out enough to drive a car yet, let alone fly a commercial jet. The female ‘stewardess’ (I use the term advisedly due to her obvious pre-feminism status) is clearly just there to serve drinks to important businessmen, but at least she isn’t as much of a throwback as the 1950’s Emirates ladies, though I guess the fact that they aren’t wearing burqas is a step forward.

I do wish Flight Centre would quit reinforcing antiquated stereotypes and run a campaign with a female pilot in uniform and a male steward bending over the drinks tray. If Flight Centre doesn’t know where to find them, there are quite a few working for Air New Zealand.

That ‘apple peel’ is a stylised ‘w’ which is also the logo of Countdown’s Aussie parent, Woolworths. No surprises there.

"From 1 June, Council will no longer collect grades 3-7 plastics. Check your plastic waste, look for the symbols [...] and let's make sure that the limited plastics we can recycle do not end up in landfill."

That last sentence is a bit rich considering that people are now going to dump 3-7 in the rubbish bin... which ends up in landfill.

I'm waiting for this government to pass a law that plastic that can't be recycled can't be used in packaging or for other purposes, exception only for critical medical/industrial uses but no consumer rubbish!

I sympathise with the ideal but we would probably find that a lot of imported products would simply no longer be offered for sale in little ol’ NZ.

I seem to find a lot of things annoying of late, but people pulling out of roads/driveways/carparks without looking, then driving very slowly oblivious to the flashing of lights and tooting of horns from the suddenly very alert drivers behind them!!

Also - my inability to type anything without many, many errors needing to be corrected before hitting "Post"...most annoying.

Ads don't annoy me as much as

1. Dialogs that show on the page three seconds after you started reading something, asking to subscribe to their stupid newsletter

2. Dialogs that show on the page as soon as you move the mouse outside of the window, asking to subscribe to their stupid newsletter

But definitely number one. Those are the worst offenders.
