networkn: I think the bulk of the complaints are that shipping from Amazon has slowed down in general, I've never heard of iParcel before this last shipment and never had a problem before.
  Agreed.

I checked my last parcel, the one I paid extra for fast delivery for, and it had iParcel written on it anyway.  Speed wise was fine with this shipping option though.  The rest sound a bit fishy, like they've delayed them until they've got a full pallet to ship or something.

freitasm: What's the problem? If the parcel is being delivered within the time estimated, nothing wrong? Some companies (DHL and FedEx included) do a "pre-clearance" by arranging all documentation to be sent beforehand to customs so when it lands it's cleared.

Perhaps iParcel sends the documentation to customs and changes the status of the parcel to "waiting customs" when the parcel is still over the pacific or being packaged, or whatever.

All the rage...

I-parcel delivered my 2nd to last package nearly 2 weeks late. And, my last package was 1 week after ETA.

Much of the delay was in the US.

timmmay: You can query iParcel about a shipment, online or by calling them in the US.

I've done that, they don't take tracking queries via any method except email and their email response time is average of 3-5 days, and was typically useless, in so far as they said, it might be a while longer.
Amazon said they could send another but it would take longer than just waiting. First time they have said anything like this to me before.

Amazon will send another one to make you happy. I had a case, about ten years ago, of a book that didn't show up after two months. They sent a second one and both showed up on the same day...

Yah they have said they will send me another, but they said if the other is delivered, I'd need to return it at my cost. It's not the end of the world, it's just annoying.

I've had amazon resend a package or two too, their customer service is pretty good.

I had an Amazon purchase delivered to me this morning via iParcel (free shipping), and online tracking still says "Pending Customs clearance and inbound scan". I mentioned this is common a few posts back in this thread.

umm a flood of tracking update...

nothing happened between 27 Jan and yesterday, but suddenly 1 package was showing as arrived in NZ on 2 Feb (not received yet today and it's been 2 weeks from ordering), and the other package has just left Edison NJ on 4 Feb - it spent 10 days in a carrier facility in Edison, and after 2 weeks from ordering it's still in east coast of USA.

See? Tracking is overrated, with all companies.

It's never been a problem with Amazon before, in the 10+ years I have been shipping parcels to NZ and the US.

I see iParcel being the cause.

Well I have a package that arrived 26 Jan and still isn't delivered. And it should not be held up in Customs as it's only about $100 (a mSATA drive).

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

This sounds about right from my experience. But, has the package arrived in the country, or the electronic notification documents? It can be hard to tell sometimes.

Tracking says parcel arrived at destination country.

So that means Auckland I guess :-)

Mine has gone back to the iparcel depot for more details. Checked the address and everything is right when i ordered it. Maybe they have trouble locating New Zealand or on the off chance, people put NZ down which may be a state in America but the post code doesn't relate and they don't realise it's for New Zealand.

Oh by the way, no rage here, just commenting on the post. I quite like ordering from overseas, it's like waiting for xmas!!
