Idiots who think they can promote social media uptake by returning a paper form (not even needing a signature!)

Especially as they bundled it with a leaflet saying the 'new look' rates notices will come with water and rates bills combined "to save costs and paper"

Wtf? Where's the QR code to link me to a page that requests all my 'notices' via email??
It's not as if they don't already take it via direct debit, so it's not even a payment slip or anything worthwhile? \_O_/

(Pic- Waikato Council rates bill)

*Edit- ok so the pics upside down... Life is too short for working out how to rotate that on my phone!

Something you can easily turn off by clicking a link THAT IS PRESENT IN EVERY EMAIL.

You have the power to solve this small problem. Don't blame on others.

I don't think he was blaming others. I find it annoying too, whilst fully accepting that it is my own responsibility to untick that box myself.

But, given the unremitting tedium and banality of my posts and my consequent lack of interest in any replies to them, it would be nice if I could set the default state of that checkbox for myself.

... that nagging doubt when you point out what seems to be a real problem, you'll be flamed for not RTFM.

TFM itself in many cases.

Especially the one in PDF format with non-hyperlinked index referring you to page 578, with a blank filler page between each of the 100 sections, scanned from a document where they missed scanning the original page numbers.

When the system is so complicated that you have to RTFM.

When there's no obvious link to TFM.

When a feature is described as "E-mail me..." in one part of a system and "option to receive forum replies" in another.

When the sysadmin sneaks in a feature that I complained was missing just to make me look stoopid.

When I get flamed and can't think of any more excuses...

Yes on the wrong way parked cars. They have to exit into the flow of traffic. Think about that on a busy road. At night when they switch the lights on before exiting it is difficult to see what kind of situation you are dealing with. Add this question to the roadcode exam.

Yet people manage to do it in other countries. That is always the thing I don't understand.

When you can't get google to limit results to New Zealand like you used to be able to do.

The advanced search options don't seem to work, and putting nz in the search bar doesn't always help either.

Parents who ignore No Parking signs while waiting for their kids.

The signs are there for a reason!
