The Warehouse!

Trying to "Do the right thing" is proving impossible!

Did an online order.

Dispatch tracking email vs delivery note - supplied 1 x Sweatshirt short!@

Phoned....will send short item....

Short item arrived plus 3 more non-ordered sweatshirts and 2 extra lolly packs in excess of original order. (Multiple deliveries!)

Tried to give the extra items back. I did via Chat agree to take the first 2 sweatshirts and lolly packs back to the Riccarton Store (All that had arrived extra at that point)

Have wasted in excess of half a day on hold (Minimum 30 minutes each time before giving up. NO online chat available for days! )

At the Riccarton store they refused to give me a receipt for the returned items!

Took items back as they were not going to give me any "proof" that I had returned them!

Still on hold to talk to someone about this! (Yes I have emailed!)

No wonder they are "hurting".

Bl**dy frustrating :-(

If a company send you something that you did not ask for and refuse to receive it back, it is yours.

Only references I can find are that you have to let the sender retrieve them at their expense.

Waiting for a senior supervisor tp call me back after finally getting a human after a further 40 minutes on hold!

Doing the "right thing" shouldn't be this hard!

Someone dumped a supermarket trolley in our street the other week. I phoned the supermarket chain and was told it should be picked up within 48 hours. Over a week later it's still there.

Just been on a bit of a wild goose chase. The back panel of my dad's trailer fell off while on a short trip. He's driven the route 3 times (with me as extra eyes for 2 of those trips) looking for it, but apparently someone's decided that clearing it off the road isn't sufficient. Nope, they've decided to hide the thing (or possibly steal it, although I can't see why they'd want it).

The fact that nobody ever upgrades Macbook Pros from base specs - at least, as evidenced in Trade Me listings - and that they never buy Apple Care.

Just got back from the panel beaters. Was driving along in my car when a vehicle going the other way towing a trailer obviously didn't have it's tail gate secured correctly. It fell off, bounced into my lane, and before I could even brake, smashed into the front of my car. Vehicle towing the trailer was completely oblivious to the fact they'd just caused an accident and nearly injured someone, they just kept on driving. Panel beater had to use tools to get the tail gate out from the front of my car, so left it with him.

No, the above didn't happen to me today but I have attended two crashes where it has (one tail gate, one 44 gallon drum) and could have easily happened again above . Someone's annoyed because they can't find a 10kg+ object that they recklessly dropped from a moving vehicle? I'd be thanking my lucky stars that I didn't cause any damage or injury to anyone through my carelessness.

I now have something else that annoys me: Namely that when something has annoyed you, then you don't always think through its full implications. The post above is a good example of that; I was so focussed on the inability to find the thing that I didn't consider that someone may have hit it. Fortunately the traffic volume was fairly low at the time so hopefully nothing was damaged and nobody was hurt (I've checked a couple of local news sites and haven't seen anything).

The Warehouse continued..... (With a resolution!)

Well after attempting to physically return the items yesterday without success.

(Refused to leave them without a receipt to prove I had - which they wouldn't give)

Phone call yesterday, after 35 minutes on hold and told a supervisor would phone as soon as she was

off the current call.....24 hours ago and still waiting!

Today I rang again, eventually got a human.....he read the notes etc.... and was..."Officially told to keep the items!"

"Due to the problems I have encountered and my failed attempts to do the right thing!"

Now for something a bit more lighthearted than my previous couple of posts...

I was just invited to take a survey. One of the first questions is your gender. It has options for "trans male", "trans female", "non-binary", etc... and apparently they got so bogged down with trying not to offend anyone that they forgot to add normal "male" and "female" options!

Either that or I'm apparently not their target demographic 😛

Sounds like theyre confused anyway since bisexual isnt a gender.

Sorry, my mistake; the actual survey says "non-binary", not "bisexual".

There's an old joke about answering yes to forms that just say 'sex'.

I think that is probably why they changed it to ask gender is immature people answering with that.
