The current Trivago ad!
You can't avoid it if you are watching FTA TV.
You mean the one they run every five minutes? They also did that before, but then they got nailed for sending people to hotels that paid them instead of those that were cheapest. I guess they figure it has been long enough and their target audience with the goldfish memories have been sufficiently distracted by the miniskirt that they can start shouting in everyone's ear again.

I hate to say it, but CNN is really annoying me. I hate to say it because there are not many US-centric news sites I can bear to watch any longer. CNN and MSNBC have been my go-to's for awhile now. I guess that makes me guilty of bubble-wrapping myself, but I simply cannot stomach Fox and other propaganda sources in today's extremely partisan media climate, where all pretense of objectivity has been abandoned. If I have to watch propaganda, it might as well be propaganda that doesn't enrage me.
Having said that, I do not understand why CNN seems obsessed with ramming unwanted autoplaying videos down the throats of viewers who just want to read a news article. What makes it worse is that the videos are almost always useless fluff pieces that don't add any information to the story. They are just pointless fillers. And CNN does not only insist on these irritating and useless splats of video diarrhea, they actually go out of their way to make them impossible to block. In spite that, I have found a pretty good blocker anyway, but it still requires some input and why should I have to put up with this at all? Why does CNN have such a need to take away my choice in the matter?
The other thing is that CNN seems to be increasingly going down the clickbait route. They are actually publishing 'You won't believe...!' headlines on their news page. At the moment they are blaring 'See general's reaction when phone rings live on CNN'. Can't bear the suspense? Here's a spoiler. General took out his phone and chucked it off-screen.
Now that is news!

Give Firefox a go for videos.

Yes, I worry about that.

Classical psychedelics like ayahuasca, psilocybin and lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) are potential therapeutic options for patients that are not effectively managed by conventional treatment.
Seven studies were analysed, and found that classical psychedelics produced significant and sustained anti-depressant and anxiolytic effects [a drug used to relieve anxiety.].
Psychedelic treatment was well-tolerated with no persisting adverse effects; when occurring, the most common included transnsient anxiety, short-lived headaches, nausea and mild increases in heart rate and blood pressure.
The paucity of data currently available on the subject calls for further research in the field.

Yes, the combination of Amazon/Kindle and geo-location in NZ can be quite frustrating at times.
US Amazon won't sell ebook, tells me that in NZ I need to use UK Amazon [NZ is covered by UK publishing rights, apparently].
UK Amazon detects I'm not using a UK IP, and says 'No, use Amazon.com.au”.
AU Amazon doesn't have book available; gives an expected release date 9 to 12 months in the future.
It's all mad, and only because of Lawyers.
It's no wonder that people pirate stuff - often a legal channel just doesn't exist for many silly reasons.
”Here's my money - take it!”.
"Sorry, our Lawyer says 'No'.”
[I have a workaround, and happily purchase my 'illegal' books from the US site. But it shouldn't be that hard!]
Totally agree. It makes no sense at all. Unless, of course, you are a lawyer.
I actually have no trouble at all getting Kindle books from the US and never have; Audlible defeated me. Amazon Prime also defeats me. I really want to watch Bosch but because it was on Prime, or Sky - I forget which - I can not get it with Prime Video at all.

Ah yes - the Blue Gang, as a friend of mine calls them!
The Police have enough to do, I suspect, that wasting their time with inane 111 calls about the colour of the sky really should get you a $500 fine and an assessment to see whether you need 24 hour care assistance due to congenital stupidity.
