the A hole who parked his car at the car wash entrance and then went to get his Ticket , leaving me and another car waiting behind his car for him to finish inside which he did strolling back with a coffee after 5 minutes.
That's common occurrence. Some idiots think the whole world is theirs.

People that leave their vehicle engines running when they're parked. I was filling up yesterday and a guy in a VW diesel Ute filled up his boat ($130), went inside, waited, paid then came back out - with his ute engine running the whole time and nobody inside the vehicle. With all the tech going into reducing vehicle emissions, this seems criminally stupid.
Even worse when they do it at the entrance of the swimming pool I go to, so all the kids have to walk through their emissions. My kids are now trained to knock on the window and tell them to turn it off.

Not sure if the rule applies here, but in the UK you are required to turn off the engine on a filling station forecourt for safety reasons.

We're far too tough to bother with all that health & safety nonsense overhere.
Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

kingdragonfly: I hate driving long distances, on highway 1, North Island.
What makes it worse is the short three lanes passing sections.
You'll be doing 90K behind someone consistently, but then when a passing section comes up they do 110K, as you attempt to pass them.
When you look in the rear view mirror again, there back down to 90 K.
On the rare occasion I've try passing on a two lane road, at a dashed traffic line, about half the time they'll also speed up as soon as it obvious you're passing them, and again slowing down after you've passed them.
It's as if I'm offending their masculinity by passing them.
Agree!
If I were being charitable I'd suggest that it's because they feel more comfortable driving faster with more space on their side of the road and hence they speed up when there's a passing section.

If you start to pull in where you should be able to if they had not sped up, they tend to back off pretty damn quickly. Probably get on the local facebook page to cry about getting cut off by some crazy driver when they get back home tho...
When I was still driving I had reached a point that if I found myself in a situation that @kingdragonfly was describing with a 90K driver I would just find a safe place to pull over, rest and let them get way ahead of me and just not stress about it. It was just not worth getting upset or angry over it. Driving angry is bad.
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
I console myself with the notion that it's more efficient driving at 90 km/h than 100 km/h ... but let it rip when there's a passing lane.
richms:People who complain about fastener choice when they manage to totally ruin them by their stubborn refusal to buy the correct tools to remove them. Idiots with allen wrenches in a torx screw.

Oh yes, hate that. I am going to get a hefty fine one day, because my driving style now is to floor it to get past when we get to a passing lane section. It's obviously a race. Never see them again (and I slow down to legal speed after I have passed).

That is the kind of thing that should cost someone their driver license, that is really dangerous

There was an item in our local paper today about some youthful imbecile who hit a tree while trying to escape a police pursuit. Although he later admitted guilt, his initial response was to blame the police for causing the accident by chasing him! With that kind of impenetrable stupidity, how can there ever be any possible hope of changing driver behaviour?
