Yeah I saw that - but clicking on the link takes to the regular price.

They have completely and utterly f****d this up. it jumps from one price to the other on the web site. I managed to put them in my cart at the $5 and $9 respectively, yet then at checkout it wants to charge me the full price.

Anyone brave enough to take this up with their (off-shore) call-centre?? My last experience with them was more than frustrating.

looks like it got fixed. I've ordered some batteries. But looking at the dse Facebook page comments I'm not holding my breath they would arrive any time soon.
(I tried to call the call centre at 10.50am, but it was out of business hours! ).

I got through to the call centre (and in the interim the problem was fixed!), however their advice was go through and complete the purchase, but take a screen shot of the "correct" price at the time; pay for the full amount, and then email the screenshot to onlinesales@dicksmith.com.nz (they said .com), and they'd refund the difference.

I've had no problems with DSE orders previously, and I've ordered batteries in the past few months - they usually arrive within 2-3 days.

How long do those last sitting in a drawer? Even replacing all my mice, torch and fire alarm batteries it could take a while to get through a pack of each :)

Alkaline Batteries

(Despite that, I do still buy them now and again when the price is right)

I grabbed a AAA pack. We normally use rechargables but these will be great for the torch and headlamp when needed in a hurry for dog walking for the hubby. Added bonus they fit my mouse too. Five dollars and free delivery! Wow! Thanks for the tip.

AAA is out of stock now :(

And they are all pretty close to equal IME, energizers have greater capabilitys with large loads but in remotes etc the cheapies are almost as good.

Thought I'd go and check out the deals. AAA pack says "In Stock", but when you add it to the cart a warning says the item is currently out of stock... Top notch outfit.

Thanks. Oh well, I thought I could save them the postage /courier price. I wonder if their bean counters think about these things, as it would cost them more, and doesn't exactly help to support their local retailers on the main street.
